The beautiful thing about this game is that you can save when you desire, or automatically after each turn on Legendary.

What does that mean?

That means you can load up your save with your fellers, even after this beta game causes something like a crash or de-sync.

I agree, though, it is pretty annoying when it happens, but it doesn't happen often at all. Watch out for any potential mods causing this, or cheat mods such as the Console Commands which guarantee 100% desync.

Not using any mod's that edit the game in any way and we have 3 or 4 saves prior and every time it's a de-sync not matter what we do , This is the 3rd campaign in a row with de-sync issue's . Please don't attempt to make excuses for the developers of the game , it's littered with issues and what do we get instead of optimisation and stability fixes ? DLC's . Yes let's make more money and create more issue's with an already buggy game .

At this point i think WH2 might have been better .

Okay, buddy, not making any excuses, not hard to see that it wasn't the case.

The fact remains, though, it doesn't happen often at all, period. If it does, you're doing something wrong. My version of the game isn't better than yours, they're all the same.

I'm using a ton of mods in multiplayer, and never get any problems, unless a specific mod does not work or causes desync, much like the one I mentioned.

Sometimes you gotta take a step back, and just try and figure out what exactly is causing the problems, instead of crying developer incompetence.

Are you playing co-op?

Getting the same thing, desync while the ai does their turns. Not the always the same ai either, just kind of hard to troubleshoot random bs.
I don't know what to tell ya, honestly. I've played so much co-op and head-to-head multiplayer campaign with over 40 mods, and never once got desync, except when testing new mods on turn 1.

I've had crashes, but they were also due to unstable/incompatible mod. I really don't know what you would be doing wrong, to be honest.

Might be more on the user’s end, where differences in latency (ex. Someone has crummier internet than the others) results in Desyncs. This would be especially more prominent with simultaneous turns. It may be worth it for OP to switch to consecutive turns, especially at 4 players.

Don't be too harsh OP, they have only had over 10 years to figure out a solution to this problem.

Never had desync issues until the chaos dwarfs update. Then it pops up somewhat often but the attempt to resync syncs it back up. Still annoying since you have to sit there for like 3 or 4 minutes whenever it happens.

EDIT: Forgot to mention no mods.

Your a lucky one then maybe ? . But from the research i have done , there are alot of people getting these issue's so to blame it on mods or internet issue's is kind of unfair .

We get the option to reload and to re-sync but just happens again at the exact same place , we thought it was faction related so we changed what we done from 2 turns ago with that specific faction then it does it again on a different one so there's no way around it

That's a cognitive bias because people come here to complain not to say "I'm so happy everything work" giving you the false impression that it happens to many players.

Most of the time, when you have P2P type of multiplayer, problems are from the user's end. Are you absolutely sure it's not a problem with internet, firewall, connection ports from everyone in your group ?

There's only me and one other , Both of us have ok internet . what are you saying before i complain i need to have perfect internet ? , Is that what this game is ?? . You can only play and progress in co-op if you have the perfect internet connection . Oh and you must allow the game through firewalls and port forward appropriately ? come on man be real.

You could also Try switching off simultaneous turns and see if that improves things.

Other than that You’ve provided no information other than you’ve had a bunch of desyncs. They’re providing the most likely answers to the cause of your issues. If you’re going to continue to act this way, then you’re just going to wallow in your problems.

I've played the majority of games coop modded and it always desyncs on turn one. After that no issued. You could try lowering your texture quality as I've heard that can cause issues.
If you haven't already, both verify integrity.
