do u need to buy the dlc for the 1st and 2nd game and it will apply to the 3rd game?

Short answer, yes.

Further explanation: The immortal empires campaign combines content from all 3 games (big sandbox map).

They added game 1 and 2 DLC to game 3 so that you can buy and use said DLC without having to buy game 1 and 2 (If you for whatever reason don't want the content added with said base games but do want the DLC content).

This looks like the first game of this sort in your game collection. It's pretty dense to pick up, even moreso if you don't know Warhammer lore...but asking questions in forums will always spark lively (and sometimes helpful) discussion.

yes i never playedm a total war game before but i like warhammer and warhammer lore and i always like trying new games and genres

Cool: Play a couple hours, see how you like it. There are lots of posts on "what DLC should I buy"...a forum search should pull up 100 threads. There's a lot of it, but they all add something to the game.

That's how it used to work and it still does, but now because they changed how Immortal Empires works, they are also selling all the paid DLCs for the 1st and 2nd games for this one so you don't have to buy those games anymore.

The Grim and the Grave and The Hunter and the Beast, well that is if by "empires" you are referring to the Empire race.

And TWW1 to get Karl Franz and Gelt

If you want full Empire race (lords and units) - WH1, Grim&Grave, Hunter&Beast
If you want full roster but don't need Franz or Gelt you can ignore WH1, and vice-versa.
