But from my personal perspective it seem to cost a lot for what it offer.
a big slow moving tank ultra easy to target by ranged unit that will die in matter of seconds by any competent player.
It is probably a good unit in certain scenario but i think it fall mostly in the same boat as the Abomination from the skaven or the Kharibdyss from the Dark elves, just too big and slow and easily replaced by other units that cost less.
But in WH3 campaign I LOVE the Jabberslythe. They are in a unique personal category with only one other unit in this game: I have never once lost one. They are awesome and IMO worth much more than their cost/upkeep. (The only other in the game that I have never lost a unit of is the Chaos Warriors of Khorne.)
If I had to just field a guess it may be their MP cost vs better anti-infantry alternatives, and that a human player will likely focus one down ASAP. Which the AI does not seem to prioritize in campaign play.
Biggest problem there is Beastmen don't need the Jabber. By the time you can unlock it and field a decent enough number you've already won. Beastmen are one of the strongest faction atm, imho.
