Note however that AR for settlements is still not working correctly. The defender gets a bonus in AR which is supposed to simulate the strategic advantage and the towers. Although most minor settlement battles now take place on open field the bonus was not removed, leading to some weird behaviour of AR.
I´m unsure if You can just spawn armies in the campaign. And if - someone had to do some testing, to figure out if certain skills or spells influence it. In game it´s hard to say, because You rarely have the same two armies fighting in autoresolve, with just one thing changed to it.
