It can also be a caste system, where the Beastmen are the Warrior, Political and Religious castes, while the humans are relegated to Worker and Mercantile castes.
Not a whole concrete lore on Ind, to be fair.
Oi what did I get clowned for? >:O
I would love for daemon-possessed Samurai, and Oni Daemons, with Blood, Plague and Darkness Miko, and an evil Hideyoshi type Shogun, hell bent on invading Cathay, and killing the Dragon Emperor to ascend as a Daemon (Prince) Emperor.
Just give me Crimson (Khorne), Ochre (Nurgle), Pallid (Slaanesh) and Azure (Tzeentch) Oni Lords, as a special Melee + Caster hybrid Lord type unit, to round up the Human options of Daimyos (Melee Lord) and Vim-Toh Hermits (Caster Lords), and a whole contigent of cheap Ashigaru units, with some Daemonblade Samurai units that obtain special powers from their infused weapons, and all kinds of abominable takes on Japanese mythology; and then I would be so happy!
For Ind, could really just rip page straight out of Empire TW. Maratha Confederacy equivalent where borrowing tech etc from Cathay and rest of old world, your order faction, then other one where beastmen more prevalent with aforementioned caste system still largely in place but ultimately conduit for Chaos if not a truly dedicated faction still.
I would not be so sure. Maybe Humans are just the most visible elements of the population, which is what you would expect if they were a lower caste, and the little Lore we do have on Ind, implies they view Beastmen as gods, to the point they will just bow to their aggression, and not even defend themselves.
It might even be the more original take on Ind, to make them a settled Beatmen horde rulling subservient Humans, but the actual LLs are just Beastmen that ascended through worship, into higher beings.
Nah, man!
Gotta get the Imjin War thing just right, and make Nippon as the brutal invader.
I would love to play a Chaos empire.
Albion was just Order Norscans, which made no thematic sense, since Warhammer is dependant on Civilization vs Savagery suthemes.
Would love a human faction with lots of monstrous units. Tigermen is almost a certainty, while maybe rhino and elephantmen would also be pretty awesome, just look at the loxodon and rhox of MTG.
Also i have never really fallen for the whole samurai stick, so i really doesn't care about Nippon.
I LOVE Samurai, but the historical ones, taht were brutal headhunters who cut up civilians to show up with "prizes" to their warring Daimyos, so they could prove they did some work, and would claim the mutilated heads to be enemy warriors of renown, even they were not.
Actual Samurai would fit Warhammer like a glove. Everything from cutting up fingers off of servants taht cleaned in "improper ways" to being fascinated with love or ascetic poetry, despite being some of the most coldhearted murderers in History; would unironically fall very much in line with how Warhammer is.
