Lore Question about Ogres
Are ogres good cooks by our standards? Or is it worse than puke?

They literally eat everything, including lava, in an attempt to satiate their cursed hunger.
Ogres probably do not bother much with refined flavour.

Yeah, they eat pretty rough.
But if I remember correctly, one tribe in the lore captured some halflings (hobbits equivalent) and discovered how good cooks they were, so they kept them as slave-chefs.

That is the halflings cooking, not the ogres.

Well of course. But that means they can have better taste standard, maybe closer to what humans would eat.

Only for so long. Soon after the ogres go through the food, they will go through the cooks.

They just cannot stop eating.

Can you stop making up head cannon?
Ogre's value cooks, especially halfling cooks. They will sooner resort to cannibalism then eat the cook. The cook is literally the last thing they'll eat.

It's not worse then puke. But it is generally revolting to human sensibilities. Though, who are we to judge? Many cultures around the world eat things I'd find disgusting. Like eyeballs. Brains, even testicles.
Heck, some things are even eaten while alive by humans. Living, moving things.

It is not "head canon", they literally eat rocks, rot, magma, and try all sorts of crap (feces included) to quell the hunger.
Ogres do not care for flavour if hungry for too long.

Yeah I know, in my country they do eat brains and unfortunately testicles.

The "Headcanon" part was you saying they'd eat the cooks. Yes, ogres' hunger is ever-present, but they very much do not touch chefs, because chefs make the best food.

ogres are good cooks in the lore but tww does make it seem like they just eat everything raw. even though one of their two gods is worshipped for giving them fire with which to cook meat.

They WILL eat the cooks, about a whole hour after they stop churning out food, because the pantry run empty, or the cooks became too exhausted to continue working.

Yes. they will eat the cooks. AFTER everything else is eaten, including any other ogre around. The most likely last ogre being the Tyrant himself. All other ogre's will be offered to the cook so the tyrant can eat.

So yes, you're once again making up headcannon. Please stop.
