Steam / Epic Games Store - Creative Assembly
I own WH1 on Epic Games Store and WH3 on Steam.
Since patch 2.4 in WH3 it should allow to play factions from WH1 and WH2 if u own them.
My steam account and epic games store are added in Crative Assembly dashboard.
But I can't play faction i own in WH1 in WH3 Mortal Empires. What am i doing wrong?

sadly that does not work, you have to own the games on the same platform in order to unlock the factions available.
so if you own warhammer 3 on steam than you also need to own warhammer 1 on steam.

CA linking isn't the same as cross store compatibility

As you can imagine, neither steam nor epic has a lot of interest in cross store compatibility.

Thank You Very Much. That explains everything.

Owning the stuff on the platform you play at is still mandatory
Edit: Ah, teaches me for sipping on my coffee before hitting post

Valve and Epic aren't interested in cross compatibility so no CA gets no say in the matter as much as that will make some mald and seethe

While imho there´s little point (except for data collection, advertising, and the like) in having an extra launcher for TW, when also all data is shared with CA in an additional account, which could be easy enough to figure out who owns what - and who has access to what. If there wasn´t a CA account or launcher, in which it get registered, it would make sense to talk about having different stores.

Because "cross store compatibility" is about selling the same software. It´s like buying windows in a physical store, but some office software online - and it wouldn´t be compatible only because You bought it in different stores.
