These DLC collection bundles are BS (50% discount for new players, 40% for anyone who already has one of the DLCs)

The hell are they doing with these DLC collection bundles? I got a couple of the most expensive DLCs from sales and giveaways so now I'm screwed out of getting the complete collection on a 50% discount. You pre-ordered the first game to get Chaos Warriors for free many years ago in the first game? Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself. It's included in the complete collection so you can only buy it as a gift. Buy the other bundles at a 40% discount for you. 50% discount for new players only.

I can only buy the Total Warhammer/Total Warhammer 2 DLC collections separately on a 40% discount and it adds up to a dollar more than the complete edition which is $90.85 regardless of whether you own anything or not. This sucks man.

Total Warhammer 1/2 DLC collection bundle for new players who own nothing on a 50% discount: $90.85
Total Warhammer 1 DLC collection for me: $38.95 (I own 1 of 6 items in the bundle)
Total Warhammer 2 DLC collection for me: $52.73 (I own 2 of 9 items in the bundle)
Price for the two separate bundles for me even though I own 3 of 15 items in the complete collection: $91.68

Do the math yourselves. With the 40% discount you'll be lucky if you end up spending less on the two bundles separately than a new player does for everything included on a 50% discount.

It's indeed a really weird way to set this up - especially as these are fixed bundles where indeed, what you own does not reduce the price - I think this is an oversight and not intentional, because buying random DLC as gift doesn't sound very consumer friendly to me ;)

I'm not mad that someone else is getting a good deal. I'm annoyed that I'm paying more for a bundle of DLCs because I happen to have DLCs that were given away as pre-order bonuses.

You don't see a problem with that? Really? No wonder everyone is whining all the time when enablers like you exist.

Those people had access to Chaos Warriors since WH launch in 2016 (?) , and these people could played Chaos Warriors since 2016.

After many years, the situation changed, this DLC collection is supposed to be for brand new player.

I pre-ordered WH3 with Ogre Kingdoms, because I wanted to play them from start, and get them for free, I did not want to wait 2-3 years or more for discount.

I expect, in future, The Ogre Kingdoms DLC would be in same bundle, and I am okay with that.

50% is the price on sales anyway, you save the same or less compared to just buying on the spring sale next month - and you don’t even have to buy everything, you can get 50% off only the dlcs you want.
And you can get like 60-70% off on authorized sellers outside steam on top of that.

I see what you are trying to get at OP but this is probably going into the realms of nitpicking and a bit petty.

These are all heavily discounted either way. I've pretty much paid full price for everything as they have released. Not knocking those who who want to be more economical with their purchases as nothing wrong with that as a concept.

Steam bundles can be a bit weird at times, i'm not advocating one way or other as its just insignificant and not worth loosing sleep over.

Yes, every DLC for every Warhammer game works with Wh3.

Yes. Previously you had to own all three games to play Immortal Empires (the mode which combines all the content from the three games on one huge map.)

Now you only have to own Warhammer 3 to play Immortal Empires, and then you can buy whatever DLC or games 1 or 2 that you want to play specific races and factions/Legendary Lords.

e.g. If you want to play Tomb Kings in Immortal Empires, you only need Warhammer 3 and Tomb Kings DLC.

If you want to play Karl Franz in Immortal Empires, you only need Warhammer 3 and Warhammer 1.
