Access to IE is free!
As of patch 2.4, all owners of WH3 now have access to IE. This is a great opportunity for many players, and CA because now we have a high chance to get IE exclusive DLCs

Rejoice everyone :demoticon:

These are the big highlights, now you can purchase any DLC without needing to buy the base games. For example, you can buy the Tomb Kings DLC for WH3 without requiring to own WH2

And we have a teaser at the end, they are coming fellas!!!

Note: I see a few people who are already getting rude and are looking to start an argument. I don’t care what arguments you had with other users, but if you are gonna be this salty then do everone a favor and bugger off from this thread.

I've got only two things to say;

First, good job CA for doing what's needed and allowing new players to play the game as is intended, now fix your game and continue pumping good content.

Second, to all those gatekeeping losers I've had arguments with that lasted for days on these forums... L O L

I do think it will get some updates, but IE is probably gonna get way more content in the long run.

Yes, they can make DLCs for faction not in the ROC map area just fine. Southern Realms, Araby, Ind, etc. they are not limited anymore.

They surely have data that shows most of the players are on IE and now that it is open, even more will join.

Basically IE has become the main campaign even for WH3 only owners with this patch.
Southern realms, ind and kuresh are 3 factions (ignoring Chorfs ofc) I can see getting added.

Ind and kuresh just got 2 massive empty locations, like the landmasses are huge just to be left alone.
Southern realms got a pretty big expansion of their location in WH3.

Araby i really really doubt we'll ever get to see.

No they shouldn't. Not everyone is interested by a sandbox map.

Guarantee *more* people are though.

RoC is something I'd like to forget. And even though I'd love more narrative stuff in IE, I'll take a directionless IE over the RoC narrative any day. RoC is just a really bad story with tedious mechanics (imo).

Vortex wasn't bad at all by comparison. You could trigger the waves whenever you wanted, play at your own pace and the story was decent: World preserving vortex being tampered with for own gains *or* self preservation. It's the kind of thing that nearly every faction could have a reasonable interest in.

RoC is very "Kislev's the main character" in it's story and some of the motivations are as simple as "want to eat magic bear." We don't even have to get into the campaign mechanics cuz that would be a whole thing and I'm sure we've heard or thought it all before: imo it's straight garbage.
Won't change anything for me, but that's the right decision for sure.
Look, it was the only smart business move.
Aaaaahahahahahahahahahahahah
This looks good on all jealous weirdos didn’t want to share their toys.

not free if you have to buy a 60 american game..................................................................
Well, where else would you play IE outside of WH3?

Also, CA is a UK developper, not US.

why?
Origineel geplaatst door Mazisky:
That also means that CA figured it would be better from a business point of view, so all those theories that the game would sell less are finally put to rest.
We'll have to see how the population evolves.

Why? I own them all and imo this was a surprisingly good decision by CA.
