Depends on what faction you are playing with, since all of them have access to different gear.

The best in-slot weapon is the Slaanesh Sword, but only Azazel can get it in the Immortal Empires campaign.

Sword of Khaine is not all it's chalked up to be, but it's available for anyone so it has its popularity. With Khorne, the Chainsword is really strong, but not better than the Blade of Slaanesh. Skarbrand can get the chainsword for getting short victory condition in Immortal Empires.

No, Blade of Slaanesh is not a weapon, it is an "accessory", I refuse to aknowledge it.

Bane Spear (for Valkia). Better than Sword of Khaine. You can wipe out several armies without even touching them or using winds of magic.

Best and funnest imo is Sword of Khaine, but it does get old sending in w/e crazy monster you've cultivated to Godzilla cities after a while.

Would love for there to be more flavour items/situations like SoK.

i mean the obvious answer is the sword of kaine in its final form, but im not sure thats a helpful answer, if you mean quest weapons, well...id say alot of them are pretty busted tbh, its hard to say that there is a definitive best one.

The widowmaker, 100%. Was forced to solo a whole garrison with only Alarielle and that piece of eq once. Seen some pretty OP weapons from Chaos realms as well...
