Giant slayers vs Plague Toads....OMG
Its not imbalanced, but wow, plague toads get erased. Its like, okay, nurgling and froggy boys need to stay away from dwarf mid game.

They're good against most things... OR at least good at tying up some things, but Slayers aren't one of them. Nurglings work well against Slayers, if you can spare a heal or 2, before your main infantry could catch up and help. Nurglings also help make units tire out too, which is also great.
Like any "glass" (or demon) unit you have to keep a watch out cause they wont run away when things get hard

Yeah, when they start to crumble there's like a VERY tiny chance of recovering them. But Pox riders are a little better anyhow.
Sometimes its a pain because some of the toads get caught WAAYYY in the middle of another enemy line, and sometimes moving them will cause them to crumble, so I pretty selective on what the toads should engage.

if they both come from multiplayer campaigns than how come i only have one of them?
i played a full campaign, we even faced off in multiple battles against each other and i still only got the one for a mp campaign, not the battle
is it bugged or something?

They work well intermingled with your own infantry, like nurglings. They can fight off cavalry inside the lines of nurglings prolonging both units. Nurgle has some simple requirements for their strategy and tactics. Just blob up your own units and watch the enemy desperately try and wither you down, but it actually turns the other direction through the duration.

When I captured the Black Pyramid of Nagash I had that 10% magic defense, plus plagueing your own army with an extra 20% Physical resistance will allow something like toads to take those extra arrows and melee attacks. About the only trouble they would have is against flaming attacks. Which is why I also incorporate Chaos Knights of Nurgle.
I love when people describe units etc, as "erased", "deleted" or something other than just "killed quickly/overkilled" etc.

Enjoy the few points op, gave me a chuckle, also yeah slayers ain't no joke in my experiences.

If you're play as Warriors of Chaos, there is nothing worse than forgetting to turn off 'A Grudge Too Far' as an end game option before you start :D.

So painful being 150 turns in when AGTF pops and Ungrim starts pumping out stack after stack of gold chevron Giant Slayers and Organ Gun armies (and that's before the other 6 dwarven nations mosey on in). Brutal stuff, but quite fun for just how difficult it is...for a while at least.

Well, it did happen. Of course if a player had controlled Skarbrand, it might have been different, but this was against the AI. Either way, it does not change my statement that they are the only unit I have seen to single handed defeat such a threat.

Mathematically speaking Giant Slayers have enough hp per model(118) to take several of his splash attacks and not lose models. Meanwhile, they hit him relatively easy with a full surround(hitting from the flank reduces MD by 30%, rear is reduced by 60%), since they already have 48 MA and 30 BvsL against his 50 or so MD. Each hit will result in 50 or so damage, if we disregard the initial Charge Bonus.
So 10-15 models constantly hitting Skarbrand will result in roughly 1k damage every 10 seconds. Once he gets below a threshold(around 1000 health), he will have stacked so much negative leadership(due to how fast he is losing health) that he starts to trigger instabilty.

There might be times where he will win as well(I guess it depends on how fast he kills individual models), but again, the Giant Slayers really did win against him in that battle. They only had something like 700 health left, but they won.
Yep, that's what happens.

And here's a completely unrelated tip free of charge: Always fight ogres in the trees. (Unless your units are also large.)

Quick way to unlock the one your missing is go host a multiplayer battle and set the opponent as AI, set the battle however you want and play it. No other player required. That's how I unlocked it.

SFO makes slayers useful and fun instead of just something exclusive to MP. Above 50% Hp they cant lose models, they wont melt to goblins and you can use grudge-rakers(shotguns) with close range and extremely cheap rangers to complement their playstyle.
