Very bad fps/lag on immortal empires
IN wh2 i have 100 fps. in wh3 i have 25 or so when switching through settlements to build/upgrade stuff...on battles its similar performance..but what is wrong with the campaign map?>? how do i remove all water effects/glints/magic spells/shadows etc to help my game experience? i literally care not for all those effects causing such lag

Not even remotely possible at same settings, WH3 is maybe 20% less fps especially on the bigger campaign map, not -75%
are u my pc or what? are u magic? clown

I had very similar issue, it was caused by UI scaling. Try to disable it to see if it helps.

How do You do it? It´s a slider, no? Default was like 140% if i remember right. And that changes something? Perhaps if You set it to 200% max - it has less of the map to render, because it´s blocked by the 2D UI - or did i understand it wrong?

It should still be rendering the whole map, at least the parts you have vision of, so you can scroll around and zoom.

It was more about that there isn´t an option to disable UI scaling. You can just choose a size, or scaling option. Also it wouldn´t really render the whole map - it happens while You zoom and scroll, and with bigger UI there´s less of the visible 3D map, but probably the UI is just put onto the map as overlay - it wouldn´t prevent the map behind or under it from using processing power or memory. That´s what i guess...

WH3 works 100% better then wh2, it is way better optimized then wh2.

@mastervovan: had same issue. for me setting shadow detail to off worked for me...
