Very bad fps/lag on immortal empires

IN wh2 i have 100 fps. in wh3 i have 25 or so when switching through settlements to build/upgrade stuff...on battles its similar performance..but what is wrong with the campaign map?>? how do i remove all water effects/glints/magic spells/shadows etc to help my game experience? i literally care not for all those effects causing such lag

if you want to optimize your game exp
you should reduce the resolution and/or set the game fps per gfx prog to 30-40fps

my resolution is 1080 with all gfx in low..it doesnt matter. at turn 60 + when i opened some of the map from fog of war all i see is lagg

i5-4590 + gtx 1650s
change to 1680xbla - update your gfx drivers

Do you run wh2 on low settings too? If so, then wh3 is just too much for your pc. If not, then there is something wrong with your system, wh3 should run faster if you get 100 fps on wh2.

Put VFXs to low in graphic setting and you will find a nice boost.

no high settings except shadow and spell effect

Literally one of the biggest performance hits are.. shadow and spell effects.
I suggest turning those down.

I would also go into your Nvidia Configuration Panel and go through the options. I'm sure you can google how to increase performance through Nvidia Configuration Panel.

Going through your Nvidia Configurations should always be the first thing you do.. Even with a monster GFX..

The campaign map in 3 will always be intensive no matter what settings you change,its just the way ca have made it,it is something ca need to look into.

yes its not normal this lag

Considering you didn't give your cpu's specs, I would refrain from saying "it's not normal" (when it could be your cpu which is getting a bit too old for the newest games).

try Textures at High, not Ultra. made a huge difference.
video card memory is the thing - i have an 8gb which just seems to run dry

but his lags are on the map not in the battle. Will those settings also affect the map?

Totally agree. The opti is rubbish. That's why I have stayed away for now.
