When does the game end?

So i played on L/VH and killed off all my enemies. Turn 259 and past Domination Campaign Victory at this point. But the game still continues. Is there no end currently for IE? or i just have to kill my vassals too?

Its Total War. The game ends when you lose or when you decide to delete the save.

What exactly would be the game "ending"? If you've won the domination victory then you've completed the largest victory condition, it's up to you whether to continue or not.

There are victory conditions beyond the domination.

Where you have to be at peace with all other factions at end or beginning of a turn.

When you achieved your victory conditions. You can however continue playing as long as you want (it never cuts it off so that you cannot continue).
