So playing without mods should do it.
Otherwise i never found a way to remove it.
They do it because people submit tickets and say they have no mods installed when they do. Which is kind of critical to troubleshooting and should be ultimately up to the mod creator and in the end the user who troubleshoots this stuff to get their game working. Not the game company.
Do you also hide the task bar and use a moving or rotating desktop background with no shortcuts?
As elite says, start bar, shortcuts, you've more than 1 pixel to worry about.
In terms of annoyance, do a search on these boards.
Some people found some post processors that could make it more palatable. Reshade, etc if I remember right.
In my humble opinion: Best case scenario they could add a indicator that blends in with the rest of the UI.
For example the Slaanesh UI has some chains and some weird deamon skull decorations near the bottom right edge, just doing something like adding another small deamon skull or chain there if someone uses mods would be ideal (or something different, basically just something that completely blends in with the rest of the UI).
Off course it would require more effort then the white Pixel and it would require whoever is looking at the image to learn what the indicator is. But it would be nice.
