White pixel at bottom left of screen (implemented by devs for modding)...how to remove it?
devs have added a white pixel into the corner of the screen that wont go away with mods enabled. This is a huge problem for me because I use an OLED, plus its super damn annoying. Its there a fix to disable it? This essentially makes the game unplayable to me because it will eventually damage my monitor.

As far as im aware it is to separate mod users from vanilla , not 100% sure about that.

So playing without mods should do it.

Otherwise i never found a way to remove it.

Maybe people should wisen up and just say they use mods? Instead of saying they don't. Like how do people actually lack that much self awareness that they forget they have mods. I don't believe that unless they have some memory issue.

They do it because people submit tickets and say they have no mods installed when they do. Which is kind of critical to troubleshooting and should be ultimately up to the mod creator and in the end the user who troubleshoots this stuff to get their game working. Not the game company.

The pixel has been there for years though...

Do you also hide the task bar and use a moving or rotating desktop background with no shortcuts?

In terms of damage, everything you use it for will damage it.
As elite says, start bar, shortcuts, you've more than 1 pixel to worry about.

In terms of annoyance, do a search on these boards.
Some people found some post processors that could make it more palatable. Reshade, etc if I remember right.

Best case they just swap it with a black pixel instead.

It would be faster.

In my humble opinion: Best case scenario they could add a indicator that blends in with the rest of the UI.

For example the Slaanesh UI has some chains and some weird deamon skull decorations near the bottom right edge, just doing something like adding another small deamon skull or chain there if someone uses mods would be ideal (or something different, basically just something that completely blends in with the rest of the UI).

Off course it would require more effort then the white Pixel and it would require whoever is looking at the image to learn what the indicator is. But it would be nice.

True, but I was talking about the player-made solutions using re-shade or something.

Honestly, I think some of the problem here depends on the size of your monitor. I simply can't focus on the left corner of my monitor while playing the game. If I had a laptop screen or a small monitor and I was able to focus on the entire image at once, it might become irritating

I highly doubt that one pixel will damage your monitor. As has already been stated, it's there for a specific purpose. If it's truly annoying to the point it makes you unable to play the game, there are some solutions out there to. People have already utilized reshading methods to minimize it but I don't know the process for going about implementing those changes so you'd probably need to search around.
