"Dismiss all advice and quest prompts before ending your turn"

[Super Cosmic Space Magnet]

The end turn button is greyed out. This happens sporadically at any point in a campaign and requires reloading an old save to fix - once it happens the game is entirely softlocked from that point and cannot be fixed. This happens every few turns. It was like this when I last played about 6 months ago and it seems the problem still exists. :l Any ideas? I am not using any mods.

Try verify game files see if that works.

This is usually because the game has a prompt it wants you to click through and because it doesn't display, you get stuck.

Are you running mods?

Cycle through all prompts and advice, responding and closing where necessary.

Try using shift + enter (I think that was the command for end turn)

Also, screenshots help, more people will believe the no mods claim.

This is what I get for replying at 4am. Even if I don't mention it, I'm always thinking there's a mod or patch related issue, sort of the pc game version of "have you tried turning it off and on again?"

There aren't any :[ I think the problem is when the game wants to issue a quest but can't for some reason. It also happens fairly often when passing through a sea treasure - the game wants to do a pop-up but doesn't for whatever reason. You then cannot click end turn because the game wants you to resolve the treasure event, even though the popup won't show.

It happens no matter what faction I play :/ Most recently however I played as Eltharion. The second turn had this bug rear its ugly head again and I got fed up, closing the game again. It really grated on me when I last played this game (around summertime) because constantly having to reload saves wore down the will to play. The bug showing up yet again was very demoralizing.

There was an issue like this when the game first released, but it was more about confusing UI. I have not experienced the bug you describe, so I can not help.

This is a fresh install. I uninstalled the game last time and decided to come back in a while after a few patches to see if it had gotten more stable.

Speak of the devil! I had sent a general to attack an enemy army, and it passed through Gortrek and Felix who were just standing in the way, so the screen tried to go to the cutscene but as soon as my army hit the other one, screen hazed out like it wanted to do the popup but couldn't.

Honestly though, this sounds like an outlier. ::intensely examines post to see if any mention was made of updating drivers:: .

Hey I just found this discussion and just had this issue with the new Chaos Dwarve DLC playing as Ashen, no idea what caused it, there is no events for me to click on, no prompts anywhere, I checked all my tabs(diplomacy, Convoy, Tower of Zharr, Hell Forge, Research) and nothing its so weird this is a first for me

EDIT: nvm fixed it OMFG, I dismissed one recruiting and redid it than my first quest popped up for the faction for Ashen, it didn't pop up until I did that

I'm having the same issue right now on Astragoth Ironhand and don't understand how you fixed it. You dismissed a unit and then re-recruited it?
