All of it is too expensive for me right now. Because I only have a 1440p monitor on a 3090ti... The card cannot perform to its full potential without 4k settings, 4k monitor, and my CPU. Which is an 8700k ... That's a bit long in the tooth. The only trick is: Do I want to pony up about $3,000 for mobo, ram, and CPU?.. Plus another $700-$1,000 on a monitor? Not necessarily for me right now, most certainly should if I had the 4090, using an 8700k.
Just save your money and treat yourself later. That's what I say to myself.
But your buying the next dlc right?
If its Chaos Dwarfs yes, if its anything else no. It wont cost me anything anyway, i use MS reward points
No, only takes 10 minutes to do web, phone and xbox ones. I have 2 accounts. I do the phone ones on the train home from work.
Im getting Dead space remake on xbox for half price, never had to buy xbox gamepass once or xbox live, I get a fair amount of press codes due to a friend who does reviews and some old mates in the industry too, cant remember last time I ever spend real money on a game.
I would recommend MS rewards to everyone even if youre not an xbox gamer.
But you see the irony in what've you've said right?
No nothing I said was Ironic, me buying or not buying any DLC doesnt affect that I think DLC is all they care about when it comes to quality assurance, something that is OBVIOUS to anyone who has worked in QA or taken 5 minutes without Warhammer blinkers on to see what an average game this is.
That's not irony, you can claim its hypocritical at a stretch but thats also incorrect.
I expected a yank to not understand Irony but not a Brit, Stop listening to Sheryl Crow
The irony is your saying they are lazy devs as they only make DLC rather than fixing things.
But whats the incentive to increase QA standards when DLC will get them more profit and attention?
They are better spent putting more resource into the DLC and making it "as good as can be" for launch, than refactor old code that's "ok" (well, not getting worse)
If your acquiring said DLC.. then they are catering to you...
Irony was probably a poor choice like you say but you get the point.
Also anyone who's worked in QA knows, they can't find ALL the problems no matter how much time they spend on it. The nature of the beast.
With a better CPU I could reach higher fps with the same GPU. What really change is in the battle map where I reach 80-90 fps with a 100% gpu usage, so there a 4090 will make a good difference.
Same here (5900X/3080), but you won't get anything more with a better CPU, you're GPU limited
A 4090 may lead you to CPU bottleneck tho
In battle map I'm gpu limited instead because I have 100% gpu usage, while my single core is at max 50-65%.
Also battles are more unpredictable. I think if you play 20 skaven units vs 20 skaven units you will get 100% CPU aswell
