FPS lock
Does anyone know if there is a setting that allows you to lock the FPS of the game, so that it doesn't hog your entire GPU?

There's not a setting in game but if have a nvidia card you can limit the FPS of any game using the nvidia control panel

Alternatively, Rivatuner (comes bundled with MSI Afterburner) has an fps cap/counter as well as other OSD (on screen display) options to monitor CPU/GPU/RAM use, temps etc. Handy to have, even if you don't use it all. Easy to set up and use too, plenty of yt vids that'll have you set in a few minutes. I actually run this even with the basic Nvidia option Amphibian Artillery mentioned (have both Nvidia and AMD cards here)

That aside, capping fps somewhere under the average re the benchmark is good practice (as is tweaking settings per a guide) as it can mitigate the frequency and extremity of under load fps drops by leaving some perf on the table, so to speak (and this game needs it more than most tbh) I've done it through the whole Warhammer series, despite having specs that on paper exceed the requirements by some way.

Hi, thanks for your contributions, since I got back from work, I figured out a way without having to use your graphics card software to cap the FPS on games. Its a simple fix actually which I haven't seen on any other forum answers to this issue. It just requires capping the FPS through a launch command on steam, in the general properties of the game tab where u click play from.
