If you play Khalida, literally just Oreon's Camp and the starting province of Teclis is inhospitable or unpleasant to your climate choices in the Southlands while the World's Edge Mountains, Barak Varr and all the way up to Uzkulak in the Darklands is Suitable for you to conquer.
what does Oreon's Camp means ?
So south of where Mannfred starts is a Wood Elf town called Oreon's Camp. Introduced in the Vortex Campaign of Total War Warhammer 2, it is a Magic Forest town. So it is Inhospitable if you are Tomb Kings.
Early on she is a bit boring since you are stuck with skeleton archers for your dps.
once she is higher lvl you can invest in stalkers and knights.
I like having a bunch of snakes to hold the line while bone giants, catapult and the casket are
clearing...
Khalida is a bit weaker than settra but she can still be really hard to kill especially if she is supported by a mage and you cycle charge her, she has a nice mass once you acquire her serpent.
If you like long range play style, she is great for that.
Compared to settra what kind of army would you build ? with settra i mostly played around Ushabti and Sphynxes
i like having necropolis knights, sepulchral stalkers, bone giants, casket of souls, tomb prince/ liche. can add Sphynx once you reach tier 5 .
If you don't like to micro you should keep some spearmen and archer.
If you are good with micro you can go heavy on the knights and stalkers.
Khalida really encourages the use of Skeleton Archers. One good unit combo as her are Skeleton Archers and Sepulcheral Stalkers.
Any enemy coming at you will have to go through a volley of poisoned arrows. Then the Sepulchral Stalkers which are sneaky ranged / melee hybrid monsters with anti large attacks also have an insanely strong short ranged magic attack that will murder even lords and heroes. The Stalkers make for a great shield and if the enemy has lots of ranged units they can be used to sneak around and hit the enemy where they are not looking
I have seen 2 units of stalker destroy a generic lord in 2 volley.
Those snakes hits hard... especially if the target doesn't have any resistance.
If you leverage the "free" aspect of your available units you can eventually grind them down.
Same for the dawi. Once you take care of those 2, though, it's a good mid game position.
In particular, sending endless tides of free skeletons against the skaven is one of life's greatest pleasures.
Bonuses to ranged but a duelist on a fast mobile mount that won't really keep in place.
Fun to play though but no settre in the slightest.
