Elector Counts not offering confederation
Hello everybody, saw some changes to the empire in the latest patch notes and decided to give my boi Gelt a spin. All is going well, I'm even maintaining positive Authority. Anyway, I get Averland, Stirland and Reikland to 10 fealty. Averland was first toreach 10 fealty and they offered to confed right away as expected no problems there, I decline for the +1 Authority.

However, in the next several turns I get Stirland and Reikland to 10 fealty and I get no confederation event at all. They have been at 10 fealty for multiple turns and no event from either of them yet.

Any idea whats going on here? Working as intended or a bug?

If thats true , i can quit my Empire campaign xD. I will try later.

But if you decline a confed, it has a 20 turn cooldown. Also if you just confeded someone, you have a 5 turn cooldown.

Playing my first Karl Franz campaign in years. I get tons of confederation offers from all around. Though I didn't keep track if I got them from everyone at ten, yet.
There is a new five turn delay after a confederation, where you cannot confederate again. Maybe that applies to declining the dilemma, too. Or just indirectly, that a new dilemma won't pop up for some time for another faction. It would take some time then to cycle through all confederation offers.

If you decline a offer you can't confed that specific faction for 20 turns. Of you accept a offer you cannot accept any other confed offer for 5 turns.

I heard more people complaining abt not getting confed offers, but i haven't had the chance to try it myself yet.

Hey,

Same issue here, but if you confederate someone else not included in the authority system of the Empire (for example Marienbourg in my case, or Volkmar as I read somewhere else), then it somehow fixes the bug.

Wait the 5 turns penalty for confederation and then all the events start popping up again.

Definitely a bug atm but like baron said using diplomacy to confed seems to restart the fealty confed mechanic.

I had no luck trying this - confederated with Marienbourg and still no events after 20 turns.

My current N/N Empire game is on turn 105 and I have confederated everyone except Nordland and Averland. I have seen this in other posts, but I haven't seen it myself so I will start a new Empire campaign right after this one to see if I can get it to happen.

Its kinda shame that CA lets it be broken for so long, a hotfix can't be so much of work.

So long? It was bassically 3 workdays. It got broken in 2.2. Official hotfixes need to be approved, meetings need to be scheduled, work needs to be done and tested. steam needst bo be informed that company will be rolling out a patch...

Two weeks for hotfix is reasonably fast. corporations have this little thing callled organization structure. It allows more to be done but its efficiency killer.
