Yeah it's just a joke that CA made themselves and it caught on in the community. In all honestly we should probably be calling him the Godslayer, or Yuri the Godslayer or even just Yuri.

I like Daniel personally. The name always makes me think of the karate kid from when I was young. God Ralph Macchio was cute back then.

I mean even then. It fits.
Quite a few Chaos dudes have biblical names.
We just got Azazel.

Daniel meaning "God is my Judge" kinda works. We just got used to that name and not the others for it is more "mainstream".

I'm pretty sure the reason CA picked that is because it's such a common name and particularly lame when compared to "Zarrog the Undying".
