Vampire Counts Rework
Soo.... on the front page is the 'race rework' post. The main changes are:

Free upkeep skeletons are gone
Rest of the roster is upgraded
Mournghouls can be recruited if you have the Vampire Coast.
Ghosts etc. has (way) more HP, but lose some Physical Resistance.
All unded gets a solid + leadersihp.

Raise dead are affected by corruption.

All the lords are updated to use WH3 mechanics like spell mastery.

Techs can improve healing cap and winds of magic.

Me likes. :)

Nice, but... that was always just 2 skill points to get. I'd prefer if he was a legendary hero like goritch. But still, I'll take it. :)

I can see the healing percentage getting nerfed since it was tested seeing zombie and skeletons outhealing the damage they're receiving by bloodletters.

They're gonna be a real slugfest unless you single out their necromancer or vampire.

Have wait until the IE beta release but, it seems CA is turning the Vampire Counts into a melee faction, which makes no sense to me. Is magic going to be that useless?

basically nurgle but better in every way

Vcounts were always a melee faction. Free skeletons just twisted the faction into skellys+Magic spam.

I would assume so and frankly, I would probably welcome it.
Again posting milkandcookiesTW video, he too specifically mentioned how broken passive % regen can be with VC now on all units...

Winds of Death will still be as strong as ever, maybe even stronger if VC get some potency buffs to magic, which I assume at least necrearchs get. Just not as spammable, which is fine imo.

But now they actually might have more potent units for a change in lategame and passive healing will free a lot of your WoM from Invocation of Nehek to other spells now, as the percentage passive regen will be wayy, wayyyyy more powerful on all units now, not only ethereal and lords/heroes.

Wrong. Vampire counts don't have access to the fastest unit in the game plaguebearers.

one fday you might accidentally add something of value to a conversation
but keep ignoring that they removed all flavor from nurgle until then

From my personal experience: Magic in game 3 still have some powerful spells, but overall it seems less impactful then it was in game 2* and you can't have unlimited magic**. I have also heard that wind of death is quite a bit weaker in game 3.

So i'd make the assumption that while magic will still be useful for vampire counts it alone won't be enough to win battles anymore.

*For everyday casting, not counting certain powerful army abilities or super spells from the realms of chaos.

**Again not counting the realms of chaos.

Ghorst is starting with his cart (which means he's a mortis + regen + balefire), applying factionwide buffs to zombies, and zombies are so cheap that if those buffs are worthwhile, he could still spam.

And I think people are overlooking that if the counts charge up the full 100 base winds (apparently they have ways to raise that a bit), then they can drop 3 overcast winds back to back, causing a catastrophic loss of balance of power all at once, which is likely to ruin morale and cause army losses.

It's still a case where you don't want to let them drag the fight out and cause a blob...it's just that final annihilation will come in one horrifying burst, instead of spaced out over a couple minutes of recharging between shots.
hunger on blood knight sound pretty good, make them even more best best shock cavalry in the game, losing models with each charge is annoying but vc have a lot of tool to fix that problem

I am 100% okay with zombies being a very hard to kill unit with no damage. It makes them unique. Vampires should be great at tarpits. It sounds like they are losing some of their fodder playstyle, so they will need significantly better healing to make up for that loss.

tbh with supply line changes I don't think they even need free skelletons anymore, making skel stacks is still viable and affordable if you prefer to use magic instead as making lots of armies won't be prohibitelly expensive.
