Board game, I think?
Manowar had them and IIRC Warmaster too so they are/were Fantasy canon. A quick google shows that they're actually called Bane Towers in Fantasy though.
I see!
Though I also poked around a bit. I don't think CA can use Man'o'War units (which is where Bane Towers appeared first), or at least such is the reason we always hear re: naval battles
And Warmaster looks to be the equivalent of Epic, which would be kinda like bringing Titans into Dawn of War.
Some industrious fellow has apparently modded them in though, not sure if it's up to date mind. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2815295717
I mean, the Dread Saurian exists. I don't see why a Silver/Bane tower couldn't be added, even if it was a relatively small one. They're floating towers. Just because they were from a naval combat game doesn't mean they couldn't be deployed over land as well.
Technically a lot of Demons roster is either AoS or 40k. Otherwise, monogods would have like 4 unique units tops. Ok, 5.
Also why does KHORNE aka "CHAAAAARGE!" faction get cannons? Literally anyone else would make more sense.
even if im not completely sure how they would function
they dont have any melee attack do they? is there any other unit in game with no melee at all
but i do hope we get to see them in the future
military industrial complex has connected industry to war, so industry to khorne
Single-model cannons, much like Little Grom, that are even moreso encouraged to just charge towards melee and fire while on the way. And I guess even Khorne understands the value in being able to blast down uppity walls and other obstacles.
Cathay's war balloons don't really have melee, right?
What about if it just went kinda like a steam tank, which I think can still fire it's top cannon with the steam burst while in melee?
(It's been ages since I used those admittedly). Let the Tower use a weaker, secondary ranged attack while engaged as it's self-defense.
i do hope they get in the game somehow
some long ranged fire that actually hits anything and a hardpoint in the line are both things tzeentch can really use
And we don't have ships in battle, regardless if they can move onto land, like TK or Nakai's pyramid, LUthor Harkon's 'black pearl', etc, or not. Sky Junks are not ships, despite the name; they're just slow AF flying units.
Now, is it because of CA not having the Man O War licence? I *think* they've said it's not, it's just that they made a judgement call not to include ships and ship combat. And, to be fair, getting it to work in a place as weird and varied as Warhammer - it would be a lot of work, a lot of assets, and naval battles would be very rare - it just wouldn't be worth the effort. We'll never see that in Warhammer TOtal War.
Or will we...

Not sure about silver towers specifically (They aren't in the 8th edition army book as far as i can tell).
But the Deamons of Chaos roster was made so that you can use it in both settings (So that you can play with friends playing both Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy without having to buy two different armies). Its one of the reason we have some very futuristic looking Deamons like the Juggernaut mount (if you look closely its mechanical underneath that armor with pistons and piping and stuff) and Soulgrinders. So if silver towers is a big iconic thing for Tzeentch in 40k its somewhat likely to be a thing in fantasy as well.
