No.
Azazel doesn't even possess a skin colour that the Daemon Prince can attain. If you're going to boil down the similarities between Azazel and the Daemon Prince from a distance resulting in them being indiscernible from each other, you must also be of the opinion that all of the human-sized units from each race and faction look the same from a distance... which would be equally preposterous.
This DLC is 8 Princes all over again.
Hate to break it to you, but I doubt any of the 2 remaining will have unique mechanics.
Valkya will have bloodletting
Vilich will have changing of ways
Probably
So what exactly are people paying for? If the first DLC flops, than we get a repeat of 3 Kingdoms, and soon we'll have The Future of WH3 video.
it has nothing to do with 8 princes, it is not a separate ♥♥♥♥♥♥ campaign that destroy the point of the game which in three kingdom was collecting the most historical figure in your faction go figure why this poop bomb hard
What are people paying for? Off the top of my head.
Some of these mechanics are also being applied to the existing Warriors of Chaos factions/Legendary Lords through a FLC update so you won't actually need to have the DLC to use them with Acheron and co, but they're made for (and paid for by sales of) the Champions of Chaos DLC.
As for the new units:
There's also the Marked Chaos Warriors FLC, again paid for by sales of the Champions of Chaos DLC,
Source for all this: https://www.totalwar.com/blog/tww3-introducing-the-coc/
Will it be a must buy for everyone? Probably not. But for those that enjoy playing Chaos it seems to me they're getting a lot, even if the new Legendary Lords mechanics are more a new combination of existing race and mechanic, rather than a completely original mechanic.
And even those that aren't interested in Chaos and/or don't buy it, there still seems to be quite a lot added they'll be able to fight against.
Anyway, that's how I see it. I respect others feel differently.
All the Best,
Welsh Dragon.
So you're just gonna ignore the rest of the DLC and focus on *one* aspect that the faction shares with another?
Whatever makes your doom saying sound rational I guess.
EDIT: Welsh Dragon summed this up nicely.
Then don't. That's the whole point of optional DLC, that it be a choice.
You'll still have those three Legendary Lords with their armies from the original Warriors of Chaos DLC, plus a handful of new units from the Marked Chaos Warriors FLC, and the new mechanics they're adding for all Warriors of Chaos.
If at a later date you feel like expanding the Warriors of Chaos with new Legendary Lords to play, and with the Chaos Warshrine and a larger roster of Marked Units to field, then you'll have that option by buying the Champions of Chaos DLC, same as everyone else.
No Total War DLC is essential, so just pick and choose what it is that interests you most. You get a bigger game with more content anyway, because of the way CA does FLC and doesn't tie updates to paid DLC (unlike some publishers I can think of.)

Thank you. I'm glad I could help.
All the Best,
Welsh Dragon.
