Games where the Devs put 10+ years of work into a product and there's years of DLC to catch up to.
League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, DOTA2, Dead by Daylight even.
you have a game you prefer so why buy any other game ever
Only the host player needs to own all three games for Immortal Empires, those who join need only own just one of the three games though will not have access to the factions which are part of those TW:WH games they don't own.
It's a good way to look at it. Not all games are created equal, nor do they all offer the same level of content or length of gameplay. Expecting a mega game like this to carry the same price tag as something that you can finish in an afternoon is unreasonable.
All the Best,
Welsh Dragon.
We can also assume that they will eventually release a sort of TW: Warhammer complete edition featuring all games and DLC at a fairly hefty yet still reasonable price. I personally will be waiting for something like that, I think. I've been playing the Game Pass version, but it doesn't have any DLC or access to the previous games, which is a bit disappointing.
Stellaris, Skylines, Overwatch
Overwatch has dlc?
I wouldn't assume that they'll ever release a complete edition. It would have to be enormously expensive (I think we're talking hundreds of pounds) to be able to be even remotely representative of the content included, and in the digital distribution era we now live in it's not really necessary either.
CA haven't released a complete edition of their past 5 major titles (Rome 2, Attila, Three Kingdoms, Warhammer 1, or Warhammer 2, Troy being a Saga,) all of which have less content than the Warhammer Trilogy as a whole. Closest has been some Game + Specific Themed DLC, and even those are limited to certain markets and/or sales.
I'd say the best bet to get Warhammer on a budget is going to be working out how much the game is worth to you, then shopping around and looking for sales using places like isthereanydeal.com, then picking up the games and maybe select DLC as and when you want to play them.
If you wait for a Complete Edition, it may never come.
All the Best,
Welsh Dragon.
For some maybe, but I 100% believe there are people who make threads like this for the sole reason to farm steam points and don't give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about what people think.
The review system is a prime example of this. Piles of garbage one liners or made up stories with nothing to do with the game only meant "for the lolz" to get points.
This is also the first game they have released that has a dependency on previous games for the full experience. It would be a pretty largely missed opportunity, as eventually sales will slow.
