its still an incredibly powerful ability that now also recharges more easily
if you cant get kills with them its a skill issue
LMAO. Get a load of this guy, Fanatics weren't a powerhouse of a unit before? Yea right. For their price they are STILL an amazing unit, which just tells you how utterly stupid they used to be.
aká l2p
Night Goblins are fine....you just can't handle them.-...
edit: the classification of a crazed-gobbo-whirling-doom-machine:
you attach one gobbo, to any other goblin unit of your liking: that unit can or might goes crazy - if activated: and yes it will! roll some random BS.....roll more to avoid random BS.....
if you suceed in both rolls, the Goblin will wreak havoc amongst your enemy....else it fails...kills himself, kills most unit, kills whatever...explodes.
fielding fanatics was no joke---it's not like the whole gobbo sh*t would backfire....but the most fun part were actually fanatics!
Just need to be sure the unit is fully stopped to use the “twirly wellies” ability as Legend calls them.
And they are still a directional attack in wh3, you can decide in which direction you want it to go, sooo… I don’t see where the problem is frankly.
Just need to be sure the unit is fully stopped before using this ability.
And also be sure there are no multiple units of goblin fanatics mixed with one an other when you use the twirly wellies of one of them or you might seriously injured the others goblins around.
So always using the ability of a globlin unit slightly more advanced than the others around, and you will be fine.
Keep an eye on the topography as well, if you are on a hard slope with a bump between the fanatics unit and your target for example, the twirly wellies might just dissapear or do no dmg. But that always been the case, the relief can be a bit trolly in some circumstances with that ability, if you used these before you should get used to that already, it’s not really new.
Other than that, the attack is decent, it might be slightly less damaging than it was in wh2 (not entirely sure, it depends of positioning of the targets most of all).
But even if it’s the case, it’s barely noticeable, and the twirly wellies still do extremely good dmg in wh3 if used correctly with the proper timing to make sure the pack of entities you aim for are densely packed together when the twirly wellies hit them.
If you respect those rules (and it’s not that hard), twirly wellies are a great ability doing great dmg.
Which is all we ask of it, just like it was in wh2… if there is a change in the efficiency of that ability in wh3, it is barely noticeable, and it doesn’t impact their usefulness.
I use couple of them in some of my armies, and used their ability multiple times in battles with decent results everytime.
They are just fine.
Up to OP to “git gud” about them I guess, the issue might come from his management, I am pretty sure he doesn’t use them correctly.
And to make them use their twirly wellies from the side, you just need to drag the cone in the direction you want before releasing the mouse button.
Just like in wh2, nothing has changed basically.
So, very perplexed about that complain… truly don’t see where the problem is. 🤷♂️
