Slow loading (saves/battle)
Is it just me olr is it a common problem that loading a save or going into battle screen is very slow ? Not sure if it is disk or CPU bound. Have SSD disk

All SSDs are not created equal. Plus other hardware components matter too like where you mentioned cpu, theres ram also of course that factors in here. Grab your phone and time it, see what it really is. Sometimes things feel really slow cause you are want to do them "now" and you are being forced to wait. So time it and see what the exact load times are. Then we can compare real data and facts, not feelings.

Best to try and load a battle anyone else can.
Proluge or quest battle, etc.
Time it and ask others.

To load a save (IE campaign), 1 min 25 sec. Not sure about battle scenen but probably 1 min (will time next one).

16 GB ram, m.2 ssd. I always get that error message about low graphics memory. Not sure if playing around with that might help. Old graphic card (Nvidia 1050 ti)

I gor a pretty large campaign holdign many settlements. Butr I guess it shoudl not matter that much ifg I or someobne else holds them,

I have the same problem. Every battle loading screen or save game takes longer than 2 minutes to load. My gaming PC has full capabilities to run this game fast, but it doesn't.

Configurations: i7 processor, SSD 1TB, Asus TUF gaming motherboard, GTX 1660 TI 6GB video card and 16GB RAM.

Maybe it's something in the game settings. Can someone help me configure to improve screen loading.

What is your crystal disk mark read/write speeds on the SSD(s) ?
- 1st thing to check that the storage itself is operating right.
It does depend on the SSD to a point, but I did notice that after Immortal Empires came out - my friend who I play with loads significantly slower in this game compared to me than he did when we played the Realms of Chaos Campaign or Warhammer 2 Mortal Empires.

Like, before it took him maybe 10-15 seconds longer than I did to load in/out of a battle or onto the campaign map, and now it takes 30-50 seconds longer.

He has less RAM than I have and has a slower SSD, but it still seems to take longer than it should. I'm wondering if there's some hardware-specific loading issue for immortal empires that needs to be patched.

I managed to solve the problem, at least for me. I went to video options and then advanced settings and checked the option "unlimited video memory" now the loading screens are taking between 15 to 20 seconds.

I hope this solves it for everyone too. =D

So just got my New Crucial 4.0 m2 ssd today so fresh install of steam on it, with only warhammer 3. Started campaign as isabelle, added vlad and starting vampire to her army. Manually fought battle to get load time. 27 seconds (and the last 5% hung there for like 8 or 9 seconds) after the battle timed it on stop watch again to load to the campaign map. 34 seconds.

Won't be playing a full campaign till after 2.1 on tuesday so don't know how much it might slow down (if any) as the campaign progresses.

specs: 3600x 16gb 3200mhz ram 3070 and crucial m2 p3 plus 500gb. (os on seperate samsung ssd, not that it should matter)

How is your ram? I just recently increased my RAM from 8 GB to 24 GB, and it actualy did help alot.
