How to find and destroy Herdstones?

Hi all,
shame to ask, but I am stuck. I am to take over some ruins in the western badlands. But it does not let me colonize as it states there is a herdstone nearby still that I need to destroy first. I cannot find that herdstone though...nor able to identify anything "destroyable" on the map! Can someone help me? Much appreciated!

A Herdstone can only be one region/settlement away. Check all the regions / settlements which are directly bordering the place in question, then you should find it :- )

Check neighboring regions. Herdstone is built on top of the razed town and blocks colonization of each neighboring town near it. You should be able to see it as one of captured towns as it is not hidden like skaven cities.
