Count Noctilus' new starting position...

Back in WH2, Count Noctilus always started at The Galleons Graveyard, with Eye of the Vortex Campaign suggesting you take Ulthuan, but not requiring you to do so, and the Mortal Empires campaign pretty much just saying "do whatever, raid wherever, you're a pirate yarrharr!"

But now in WH3 it starts you off literally right next to Vauls Anvil in Ulthuan, pretty much 'forcing' the player into attacking the donut. Sure you could just beat up Erethond and sail away to wherever you want, but now you need to waste several turns travelling before you can finally get your campaign off the ground if you choose to do so.

I really don't see why they had to move him off the Galleons Graveyard. Heck, he even still has his quests down in Lustria.

Not that big of a deal. An extra turn or two doesen't really bother me that much. But it does incentivise an attack on Ulthuan, sure. Just turn that merry little ship around and go somewhere else ^_^ Problem solved.

Like you said :) Beat up Erethond in the start for some starting XP and caching and you leave. That's pretty much what I did.

HIs start is completely broken for the AI. If the AI controls Noctilus, he will conquer over half of Ulthuan within 20 turns. I've seen this happen over at least 5 separate campaigns testing this out specifically.

Noctilus is broken and absolutely needs to be moved elsewhere, or back to his Mortal Empire starting position. It's completely ludicrous that this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pirate vampire would be able to wipe out half of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ high elf population. Laughable balance and I hope whoever greenlit the decision to move Noctilus to this position gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attacked by wasps for the rest of their lives.
