I mean he matches his model. I don't know about the lore, but GW sells the model. They will want it looking like its model. Simple as that really.

The horns, wings, and toga are similar. Hair is missing, face looks nothing like that (both faces are derpy looking, but GW's model is scowling not grinning and distinctly less human looking), left arm is an actual arm instead of a pointy thing, feet/lower body are a lot more human. CA completely reimagined him.

So just to be clear you think GW has the time and money to send someone to CA to dictate every little creative decision they make? And every other WH game out there? Maybe someone sitting behind the chair while the modeler is working in Maya for a week to sip coffee and say stuff like "no, his grimace needs to be more of a grin... remove that part of the wing there so it looks less angelic... his shoulder is a bit too lumpy over on the left". Suuuuuurrrrrre.

But fine, say you're right, and someone at GW instead of CA decided Azazel needed a more human face and a grin instead of a grimace and no more hair. Does that suddenly make it a GOOD thing, because GW said it? Are you incapable of having your own thoughts and opinions on this matter (or respecting others thoughts and opinions), and therefore must defer to GW on everything? Or do you think GW is incapable of making a bad creative decision?
