Whether or not that is what's happening I can't say for sure.
EDIT: And of course the animations of units running around and the camera having to pan all over the map will take more time than not having to run animations and panning the camera. Depending on your end turn settings, that might be a significant contributor to long end turn times.
Without the wars? 15 seconds.
I guess it will take some optimisations and hopefully when IE is fully released, this might not be as bad.
Oh and if you used those chaos invasion multiplier mods...Whew.
it did happen in WH2.
its just a natural progression, start of the game there 1/2 armies per faction, its just one turn.
when you start having multiple factions all with 5+ armies that each calculation for each individual army per faction, its obviously going to start to slow down.
its no different to the player having to move 1 army, compared to moving multiple armies late game, it just takes longer.
X10 chaos invasion first wave alone could easily take 20-30 seconds for me lol.
Even more when Archeon arrived with his stacks.
Don't have to process turn if everyone is DEAD
