Savage Orcs and Wurrzag Pointless?
Is there any function to savage orcs besides using them with Wurrzag? As far as I recall he's the only one that gets benefits directly for them, all others get standard greenskin bonuses to troops. so after filling Wurrzag with a full stack of savage orcs, everything else falls back to standard stuff for use? Seems like a waste of a hero and a faction. I want to make the world savage with more than 1 army. Even Paunch has uses because his bonuses affect standard troops, and upgrading goblins still empowers the standard gobs/orcs. Not hating on the savage faction, just dissapointed I guess.

Or am I missing someone that can use savage orcs to their fullest besides Wurrzag?

25% Phys resistance comes inbuilt, and I think it's the best part about them, Wurzhag or not.

Of course physical resist means a lot less in IE than it did back in TWWH1...there's far more magic attacks around now than there used to be,

He's definitely the only one who wants to regularly use them. But definitely not a waste because he's easily the most awesome Greenskins faction not named Grom.

It is also thematic and for the RP folks to have fun with. Also you can win with it just harder.

Yeah need a savage orc warboss or something added in. There were mods for game 2 but not sure if in game 3 yet

Appreciate the comments. I like the savage units but wish there was a Wurrzag equivalent to continue using stacks of them. Hopefully something like it gets added in a mod (looking at you Radious)

CA have gone down the path of specializing the GS factions to much unfortunately. and made certain units really only viable for some lords or more optimal we will say, its especially strange to do this with a faction such as GS because this faction are the literal jack-o-trades if there ever was one, which is now reduced to things like spam goblins, spam nasty skulkers,spam orc boyz etc...... Prior to scrap upgrades, savage orc big'uns were definitely better to use, then big'un's. Whats the scrap upgrade for savage orcs?

I fully agree. I can understand someone being better with orcs over goblins or vice versa, but its even more specialized. 1 is great with spiders, 1 is great with boar riders, etc. I feel like each army has to be kitted out with certain units rather than having a nice mix. At least if you want to get the full potential from the general's upgrades.

yeah i was sad when i decided to crush the topknots in the hope that their faction leader was a savage orc but even tho they are ,he isnt.

When playing as Wuzzag, I use savages for other lords, too. At least, with big'uns and archers. Though, never fill armies with them. (except for Wuzzag's army).
Extra 25 charge ifaction-wide is good. Also, they are cheaper to recruit because of many followers reducing price. Also, since the building has already been built and I do not have extra slots/money/time to build another building, my second/third lords may very well have a bunch of savages in their armies.

Savage Orcs are something CA added in TWW1 then forgot about entirely. Would love if more of them were playable, and acted as a Greenskin horde faction.

I'd definitely love that being official. I remember using an unlocker to play them in WH2 but it was kinda eh

lol wurzzag was the easiest campaign before they withdraw the golem RoR at turn2. the specificity is savage unit, no armor, but lot of hp, ignore 25%damage, do lot of damage
and the most important buff: IMMUNE MORALE.
they are like slayer but in green :p

Forget the Savage Orcs, Black Orcs with their 'Eavy Armour is where it is at.
Just go full Black Orcs, Arachnaroks, Rogue Idols, Night Goblin Archers and River Trolls.

If you want Cav, however, Savage Orc Boar Boyz are better than regular Orc Boar Boyz.
