Sword of Khaine gone?
So I've been trying to get the Sword of Khaine for a Grand Cathay game I'm playing. While I killed the character holding the sword, the game didn't give it to me. I've read that if the holder of the sword fights with reinforcements or they're in force march the sword won't go to the winner. However it's been like 15 turns since then and the sword of khaine has not reappeared. Like there's no updates like "The sword of Khaine rests" or whatever.

So am I bugged? Is it impossible for me to get the sword now?

Can't it only be held by certain factions?

Aside from denial all factions are supposed to able to held it if they defeated the holder. Only elves can pick it up from shrine if everything works as intended

Only elves can draw it, but any faction can steal it by killing the elf lord that drew it, but there is a random glitch where the sword script is bugged out and you can’t steal it anymore, it will just reset to the shrine again

The true follower of khorne Alariel gets it every campaign so its still there.

yhea the sword is still available in this version of the game, your best option is to post a hero near the fort where the shrine is built you want to typically leave that faction alone so they can max their stuff and then eventually they'll summon the sword and their main army lord will hold it, defeating him gives you the sword. i have it on the vampire pirate dread fleet and you're pretty unstoppable

I got it with Morghur and after it went fully maxed it was like playing this games version of Godmode.

It’s the scripts around it that are so bugged, that’s what happens when you make a unique weapon with a system and don’t update the system

Happened to me too, the event didn't proc and the character that was holding the sword still had it.

You will have to wait for the ai to recruit the wounded character with the sword on them and kill them again and hope it won't bug this time.
