High Elves Arch Mages are not able to mount dragons.

I have High elf arch mage lords who have the ability to mount dragons. However, there is no drop down option for the arch mages mounts. Other lords do have mount options. I purchased the Warden and the Paunch DLC mid-campaign. Any idea how to fix this?

Only a specific mage school gets a dragon. The fire mage. This is because in the source material it was a specific fire mage hero who rode a dragon. None of the others did. But an arch mage is the lord type and they get a moon dragon. Arch mage = moon dragon, normal mage ='s no dragon but fire mage getting fire dragon.

I will note that when buying dlc you can access dlc units but wont get any abilities / effects that are associated with the campaign. The requires a new campaign so maybe thats your problem. But it shouldnt be.

Thanks for the input! A few more details: For example, I have a High Magic Archmage. She has enough levels for the moondragon, but can only equip the chariot. Any thoughts on that?

Sorry for doubting you, but if your sure its a lord and you have the dlc then I would suggest needing a new campaign. You can test it easily by starting a new campaign and hiring a archmage lord turn 1 and looking at their skills.

Definitely a lord. I can't figure out how to share a screen shot here, or I would show it. The archmage lord shows a dragon option and it's "earned" in the skill tree. But for some reason it's not available in the drop down mount options.

I just did a quick battle and was able to put an archmage on a dragon.

I'm assuming this is just a bug from getting the DLC in the middle of the campaign. It would suck to restart.
