Way to limit fps in Campaign map
title.

Just wanna limit FPS to 60 on campaign map so that my GPU isn't working overtime in an attempt to achieve a FPS not possible.

Nvidia or AMD? For Nvidia and Windows 10, just right click your desktop and go to Nvidia control panel. Go to manage 3D settings > program settings and find TW:W3 EXE. You should be able to set it from there.

You can't limit the FPS only on campaign, but for the whole game

Should have specified sorry.

So alright, I can limit FPS, but that's for the entire game isn't it? I just want to limit FPS while in the campaign map, and it only looks like you can limit FPS for the entire application.

Pretty much afaik, no way to get any software I know to cap only specific parts of a game.
Even Rivatuner (a sidekick OSD/monitoring app bundled with MSI Afterburner, both very handy btw) which I've used with both Nvidia and AMD GPU's for years, only caps for the whole game. Like the Nvidia control panel option that meowbeast mentioned it selects the games .exe file to apply the cap to as a whole. The only other option would be tweaking settings to find the right balance but that too would apply to both campaign and battle performance. Personally I tend to cap and tweak but I couldn't say where your best result would lie, if at all.

I think I'm running capped @55 for the game and that seems to work pretty well. Battles still look good when I actually have the time to zoom in and get a close look.

I know it's fine, I just don't want to hear the coil whine when I'm pushing 300W, that's the entire reason why I'm asking so I don't have to hear it.

I do appreciate the information, looks like it's time to dig about further and see if there's any ini file or something of the like to edit for the campaign to limit FPS (Highly unlikely but oh well),
