Mortis engine just ate a Nurgle Army
Auto-calculation is fine but in battle it eats my whole army and just snuffs out Kugarth no problem...

So heroes/lords or max 1 melee unit or snipe with ranged units.

Need to snipe it with ranged unit or a solid melee fighter. That works best.

Or inflict army losses so its disintegrates.

They not unkillable

Wow this is new - I knew they were tough but not tough enough to Kill an unwounded Kugarth and 5 units of plague bearers with only half hitpoints (also their vampire lord was dead)

If your units where half dead then they where close to breaking at the start of the conflict. since the mortis engine aoe's if you pile on a bunch of slow damage units that are about to break you are basicly doing the worse possible action. Once your units are dead kugath would break from army losses.

The strange thing is that the mortis engine would be disintegrating if the Lord of the army was dead, Unless you mistook a secondary lord for the primary in a reinforcement battle. Still it is fair to say that mortis engines are the enemy to low damage tough units. I suggest using great weapon or halbred chaos warriors or anti large knights. (not sure what mortals kugath can now access)

Granted all 5 of the plague bearers were damaged but still together they should have been able to kill it. Each one when you click on it showed the Mortis Engine as a Green triangle indicating the unit could kill it...

Also Kugarth showed as being able to kill the Mortis Engine on his own.

There was also an Unholy load stone in close proximity at the start but I killed it quickly and went on to the mortis engine but iut still could have had a lingering affect. The lord being dead and it staying on is an error for sure but maybe it wont repeat...the rest of the army had disintegrated the Mortis Engine fought on

I mean, what everyone else has said. Mortis engine is meh in melee, but its AoE is pretty strong against infantry, it has a decent amount of health, and it regenerates. Sending a bunch of infantry (that somewhat rely on physical resistance and high melee defense, no less) which are not even good damage dealers is a no-no.

Not sure why/how Ku´gath was not able to kill it, he totally should have been unless almost dead. My guess would be your plaguebearers took so much damage that it inflicted the army losses. Mortis engine is *not* very strong in melee at all.
