IE Beginner Friendly Starting Location?

Hey, looking for a few easier start locations in immortal empires - not too fussed about the faction, but want a start location to relearn how to play Total War with a chill start! :)

corner factions are always the better place, small front lines better, multiple fronts bad.

Not sure about Immortal Empires but the new Champions of Chaos lords are all reasonably easy and if you want to play the Realm of Chaos campaign, I'd say Skarbrand's probably the easiest choice although I can't speak for how it is with the latest patch (another candidate would be Zhao Ming I think).

I don't think anyone has a chill start anymore. Closest would be Cathay.

Factions like ogres or chaos warriors dont need to hold much ground, so i think they are more friendly for beginners because you dont need to be switching from offensive to defensive all the time. Just push and sack, make your gold sackin and just steam roll.

interesting, they sound more balanced than they were previously. i used to roll dwarves in TW2 if i wanted a chill game, easy access to gold not too many fronts to worry about etc.

There's two ways you can go w. this you either: Pick the 'main' LL of a faction, that is surrounded by smaller states of THE SAME faction: Karl, Tyrion, Settra etc. W. these LL you get to make alot of money and good connections quickly, alongside possible confederations, and being *mostly* secluded from fighting. Or, you can go the entirely other way: Factions which don't need to chain themselves down: Horde factions, Beastmen and Chaos mostly, these factions don't build massive empires, because they don't need to.

Cathay is pretty quiet.
And since the thunderdome moved to the southlands, Lustria seems pretty quiet.

So between those two regions that gives you factions in Cathay, Skaven, Lizardmen, Empire, Dark Elf, and Bretonia off the top of my head. Take your pick.

Go with Karl franz, he's marked as a good beginner campaign by CA for a reason. You get to confed the other empire lands through his mechanics so you dont have to worry about relations and things too much. Pretty chill.
