What is Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God and Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God II
These two DLC are only available if you buy Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God III
They are not included in packs sold as Total War: WARHAMMER - Blood for the Blood God and Total War: WARHAMMER II - Blood for the Blood God II
What are these DLC? What can they give (and this explains that the blood DLC III costs 0.5$ more?)

They should be available as dlcs for wh2 and wh1.

I am fairly certain that the blood DLC is added free if you already have it in any of the previous Warhammers. I bought it in WH1 and since then it has been added for free on release to WH2, and now I see it is installed in WH3 as well despite never purchasing in WH2 or WH3.

In other words, you only need to buy it once to have it for all 3 games.

As for what it gives: it is a blood and gore DLC which adds blood and gore to hits and kills. It allows the base game to be rated "Teen" as opposed to "Mature". Only the blood DLC is rated "Mature" this way.

I'd say most of the blame for having blood as a DLC goes to the ESRB (though I'm sure SEGA isn't exactly upset at having to sell it as DLC for extra money).

Not
I'm talking about something else
In short - any sub with blood DLC (for TW and TW2) adds 3 DLC - for TW1, TW2, TW3
But blood dlc for tw3 adds 5 dlc - for tw1, tw2 and 3 for tw3
Now you understand what the point is? It adds 3 dlc for tw3 at once

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God III
Total War: WARHAMMER - Blood for the Blood God
Total War: WARHAMMER II - Blood for the Blood God II
1Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God
Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God II

@BlackCat You are confused and looking at OLD adverts.

Buy ANY Blood for the Blood God dlc once. TWW, TWW2, TWW3 it matters not. All three drench the ENTIRE game in blood exactly as has been explained to you above. :skaven:

Where are you seeing that again?

They made three different Blood for the Blood God DLCs, one for each game. They named them Blood for the Blood God, Blood for the Blood God II and Blood for the Blood God III respectively. If you bought one and owned the other games on the same storefront, you'ed be automatically given the others for their respective games for free.

Wait a minute, is this entire thread based on what you saw on Steamdb because those could easily be errors or a mistake on Steamdb's part.

Yes
But I have never seen them wrong.
However, that's why I want to know what it is.
I myself have this package:
https://steamdb.info/sub/243040/apps/
If it wasn't for that, I would even buy Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God III to check it out even though it's more expensive

I don't know why steam db has those old ones in the wh3 database. But in the end it does not matter because all of those 3 dlcs are doing the same thing basically. That is probably why we never saw them in steam itself.

Have you bought Total War: WARHAMMER III - Blood for the Blood God III?
This is DLC, not Total War: WARHAMMER - Blood for the Blood God or Total War: WARHAMMER II - Blood for the Blood God II (this is important)

I have bought the blood dlc for warhammer 1 and got all the subsequent DLCs for 2 and 3. As it should be. Not all that complicated.

No it's just that the OP saw multiple listings of the DLCs on the Steamdb page and wants to know why they are there and what they are.

As I said in my first post: I don't know and it also does not matter at all because all the dlc do the exact same thing.

The duplicates could be something to do with the process of how blood & gore carries over between games in the trilogy, or they could be promo copies (for example those sent to games journalists pre-release) that for some reason are being treated as separate entries. Or it's just a mistake in the listings.

As for the increase in price, it's most likely reflecting them moving to a new price structure for all DLC as their costs have increased. Sure it would be nice if prices stayed the same forever but it's really not realistic, especially with the current cost of living crisis and rapidly increasing costs of energy (as they've got to heat and light multiple buildings in the UK and Bulgaria, not even including all the electricity needed to run the computers and servers necessary for a large games developer like CA.)

Anyway, the really important bit is if you already own Blood for the Blood God for 1 or 2 on a platform (e.g. Steam,) you don't need to buy it again for 3 on that platform. You only ever need buy it the once on a platform for the whole trilogy. You aren't going to get anything extra by buying again, you're just wasting your own money, so I'd advise against it.

Hope that helps.

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.
