How to get a Demon Prince of X
In the Battle vs AI there are lord units called Demon princes, i.e Demon Prince of Tzeentch, Khorne, Nurgle or Slaneesh (for their perspective factions). Does anybody know how to get these on campaign map?

You corrupt a human lord and after 10 turns, you get the lord as a demon prince.
I believe it's either through agent action or through fighting the lord directly (but obviously not killing him).

I got a nurgle demon prince with Festus by reaching rank 30 with a Chaos Lord and ascending him paying 10k souls.

Grab a general, mark him with a chaos god mark by leveling up + souls, level up again and more souls for the prince

Wait. Does this work for IE?

Is it a warrior of chaos faction thing? Because in the skirmish screen they only show up under their respective Demon factions but not under Warriors of Chaos

There is a menu where you can find the skills/items tab where you can click and will lead you to the marks of the lord, there will be something called demonic ascencion, where a lord can be turned into a demon prince of the chosen faction.

I only got that to work once as be'lakor, and it gave me a prince of Undivided. The other times I got the lord marked, the thing didn't finish cooking for some reason (and it wasn't by fighting me, so maybe they got killed by somebody else?). I don't know if it's always Undivided for him or just random. So I don't know how to get the specific Gods' daemon princes through that route.

Ok so it highly depends on what faction you play

Warriors of Chaos: You get demon princes by dedicating your lords to a specific god at rank 5, then ranking them up to 20 and pay 5K souls to turn them into a prince of that specific god. So for Nurgle and Tzeentch you go with the sorceror lords, for Khorne and Slaanesh it's the regular melee lords. For an undivided prince you need to reach rank 30 instead with a not dedicated lord.

Be'Lakor is special in that he can get princes by doing hero actions against any mortal race to mark a non-legendary lord of theirs to be converted. If they survive for 10 turns they turn into a random prince for your recruit pool

For the monogod races it's how you get your exalted demon lords. Get a mortal follower to rank 15 or so and a dilemma pop up comes up and asks you if you want to replace the current lord with a prince. These will always be of the monogod faction you choose.

Daniel on the other hand can't get princes I think. I at least haven't tested it so if he can feel free to correct me.

for Nurgle (WoC):
Your regular sorcerer lord can be dedicated to Nurgle at rank 5 (nurgle or death lore) and only THEN he can ascend into demonhood at rank 20 (lore of nurgle).
If you skip this step and level him up regularly (chaos dragon and such ^^) you can then pick greater demonhood (lore of fire) at level 30. Picking the level 5 thingie, makes the other obsolete....

Your generic melee lord can pick lore of fire or lore of nurgle at rank 30. I haven't gotten to that point yet, but Nurgle provides so many crapton of boons, that it is prolly wrong to chose any other!

Depends on who you are playing as.

Be'lakor has his weird corrupting mechanic, not sure if its random or what in that case.

For normal WoC, mark one of your lords with the god mark first then you can later get the god specific deamon prince (The champions of chaos lords may be able to directly upgrade the lord type they can't mark into their god specific deamon prince).

For the mono god races, simply get a chaos lord/chaos sorcerer lord to a high enough level and you get a dilemma.
