taurox busted
it's pretty much impossible to use his unique campaign mechanics now. you gain almost no movement from using the raze choice that specifically is supposed to let you move across the map and it's super hard to get a rampage going at all unless you sit there and hope the ai walks into your ambush for 5 turns. i've razed 7 provinces by turn 30 and still haven't been able to get beyond rampage tier 1. the taurox campaign in tww2 was pretty much perfect so i wonder why it had to be nerfed for a SINGLE PLAYER GAME. oh no! the player might steamroll really quickly when playing as the faction specifically designed to do that! better tone that down. really?

100% agree... as typical of CA, they cant balance for sh*t... they always over-correct.... the bull has been castrated by reducing his starting momentum from 5 in Wh2 to 1

also, they nerfed the items u can get in the item shop... you cant get regen on ur heroes/ lords anymore.. instead of buffing other heroes and making it more interesting, CA prefers the nerf bat

To be fair this is a beta, and they had to revamp numerous factions.. It's most likely a oversight.

It might have something to do with trying to tune him when you play against him on single player because he seems to flatten that whole region in Naggaroth in every game I've played so far and only the intervention of the player can stop him.

there was never a single game ive played where taurox or any beastmen faction became a problem... greenskins yes, high elves yes, dark elves yes, dwarvs yes, VC yes... but never beastmen.. they usually take stupid fights and lose most of their armies .... even if u want to nerf taurox, at least nerf him smartly, not make him importent... i couldnt achieve a single rampage in the first 40 turns...

It was perfect to destroy the whole continent in 1 turn?

All my Malekith campaigns I'm basically required to take out Taurox myself. The AI doesn't like attacking the herdstones with all those units and Taurox likes to beeline right for Naggarond eventually. He doesn't survive most long games in that region without a player because Norsca wipes him out. I think Norscan factions might be carrying more strength in auto resolve than they really should at the moment. AI Taurox usually clears 5-10 towns in my first 10 or 20 turns most games, though.

I played about 150+ turns with Taurox and the highest rampage countdown I got to was 3, and I couldn't get a rampage at all.

the ai adapts to herdstones if you're the one placing them that's for sure. i've had factions travel over multiple provinces and water to attack my herdstones even when they have factions they're at war with directly next to them. i imagine it gets even worse on higher difficulty because i'm only playing on hard; the beastman garrisons are pathetic and you don't get settlement battles at all on defense (i mean im a beastman i shouldn't have a settlement but fighting in narrow ass beast paths kinda sucks for a faction that wants to be ambushing enemies) so on vh and legendary the ai has tons more units too.

your settlements don't matter that much as beastmen tho so all of this doesnt really matter as much to me as much as the fact that i just straight up can't use my faction mechanics. beastmen have no march stance so theyre actually pretty slow on the campaign map so it would be really nice if i could actually get a rampage going but instead if i'm lucky i get one (settlement) battle a turn with maybe one battle before that if the ai isn't hiding in their settlements. you just straight up do not get to use rampage at all and the faction is balanced around you using it.
