Is it just me or is Daemons of chaos the most difficult faction in the game?
It could be my playstyle or just inexperenice however so far I have played with Cathay, Orges, and Khorne and all of them have been way easy for me to play. I think its the lack of a real lord tree and being stuck with the good but subpar daemon gift instead of normal items. Just trying to see if I'm the only one who thinks they are quite weak or not?

they are mid tier yeah, i agree.

the factions you mentioned are better, khorne is kinda op/broken atm and is by far the best.

you're 100% right that not having a real tech tree makes the deamon prince on the weaker side, even with set bonus i find myself using the gear i think is best and its still lackluster.

Khorne and Ogres are two of the most powerful factions in the game. Khorne is the best by far while Cathay is solid.

I think Demons and Kislev have the hardest campaigns, although Demons it's mainly the start when you have armies from Wood Elves, Empire, Kislev and Orcs descending upon you but once you get a grip on those it gets easier where as Kislev you are constantly under assault and your enemies only multiply as time goes on. Kislev have a good roster though.

For Demon Prince of Chaos, it's best to focus him in one area, ie. Tank, DPS, Magic etc but remember he will never be as good as a dedicated lord. Also Scarbrand is insane so he will never come close to his epicness.

Chaos undecided's big advantage (other than a mini-version of the real chaos faction's campaign gimmicks) is that they are allowed to mix daemon units from all four real chaos factions, so unless you play exactly to that strength (cherrypicking exclusively the best parts of each real chaos faction and making them work together well) you are pretty much stuck with the downsides (no tech tree and a very mediocre main lord) in the same precarious position that nurgle starts in (constantly bullied by wave after wave of 20-stack from the accursed ordertide, tho i guess nurgle also has kairos bullying him from the other side while also being a "very slow start" type of faction economically so daemons doesn't have it quite that bad).

I wouldn't say daemons is a bad faction, but I agree it's definitely very difficult due to how all of these factors play together.

Man I remember the days when people said "What's the point of playing the monogod factions now that we have the Daemon Prince/Undivided, he gets everything."

Yes, all of the one you listed are easier, i think Kislev is harder though. But demons of chaos are not WEAK(they are the first faction i finished campaign with), they have tough start, i recommend you build garrison building on every single settlement you have, but once you survived the beginning and have access to more units, it doesn't matter you don't have advanced campaign mechanics, the demons are so specialized, that when you can mix them you create armies with no weaknesses, with lightning strike i was dismantling 4 full stacks of Kislev in a row.
