I'm playing Hard/Normal and never really had any problems with any of them. Tzeentch was probably the hardest just because of their ranged troops.
For all the others once you take the objective just put troops covering all of the chokepoints in and have your archers sat behind shooting everything. Have lords/monsters stand back to start with so they're free to go to wherever the most/strongest enemies are to assist. Get all the towers built ASAP, I usually use either the tier 1 or 2 towers at the first bit then try to shift to 3/4 for the last two. Perhaps even deleting some of the earlier stuff. Don't delete your towers for the second section though, they can usually hit enemies in the third section too.
Use traps/barricades sparingly, mostly not worth the money especially vs Tzeentch. They can be worthwhile against Nurgle though, slow them down even more while your archers/towers kill them all.
Nurgle was horrible for me, I had a much weaker army of T1/T2 kossars and those Toads would not die
im more concerned here you think this is a viable doomstack, lord of changes are utter trash, your lords turn into one and they are just casters and terrible in melee.
your not going to have the winds to support 19 casters lol.
They're good as a hit and run GOON squad. 19 flyers dive a single unit and then fly away when resistance comes.
I've used them to great effects in the general campaign. Its just the final survival battle that I've ran into troubles. Hit and run takes time and the enemy spawns in faster than I can kill them.
Yea, I'm going to go back and spam soul grinders instead. Hit and run with big birds dont work well in that final survival battle.
All towers were fitted with the highest tier to assist in the fight (They dont do friendly fire damage from what I could tell).
Once the wave has started all enemies will funnel through the same place, being peppered by the towers along the way. Belekor will probalby be the first one to arrive. Eagerly he assaulted my lord, wo was standing on the trap barricade. Afterwards I pummeled him with all my terracotta sentinels (most of them from the reinfocments). The crossbows were also able to get some decent shots on him on his approach. He died relativly quickly, before the second swarm off enemies could arrive.
This placement also has the advantage of staggering the enemy wave, being able to focus your defence on mostly one side and being able to distract enemies with far off barricades.
I fought these battles on the hard difficulty. Not sure if it will work as well on the higher ones but it beats beeing swarmed from all sides and having troops dropped on top of yours any day.
Oh and I almost forgot. They will completly ignore the last capture point as well. So no worries about losing access to the reinforcment pool.
I hope this helps any of you struggeling with this quite difficult fight.
