Confederation Cathay

Anyone confederated the other Dragon prince? Nothing works for me. Or is it impossible?

It is possible. I just did it, granted I was on easy difficulty and I have no clue how the confederation request jumped from -4 to +5. All I know is I left the north alone all game long (aside for "rebel" factions), I built outposts and snatched locations that would allow the weaker faction to get provinces. I was 1st in power ranking and the one I confederated was 16th.

Major factions can be tricky to confed. If you aren't way higher power balance, extremely high relations and they're at war with an enemy bigger than them that they'd lose to they generally won't always confed

I did it on very hard by threatening sister dragon when our relations were around -30 or -40 iirc, she only had 2 cities, make sure you save before trying it

To be honest, the effort to get a confederation and the time it requires to do so (from start of game) it's way too much. Conquering the minor factions is way better, considering as the west dragon you have oly 3 level-5 locations nearby, and 2 are occupied by "non rebel" minor factions, and then you have a neverending maze of mountains with only level-3 locations. You're just stretching yourself thin and not getting any good outpost for local army building until you are at the southern desert.

Dude. Look at the date I posted this. Confederation with other LL (outside of Kislev-specific mechanic) was impossible back in February. It was probably fixed in one of the patches.
