Denuvo
Will the devs remove it after it's inevitably cracked?

I refuse to buy a product with such a blatantly anti-consumer DRM implemented. I'm simply wondering if I'll ever be able to buy this game in good faith.

It took about a year and a half to crack the second game, so you might be waiting a while.

Did they remove it from WH1 and WH2?
no? don't expect them to remove it from WH3.

Why do I keep hearing about this and yet I have no issues? I'm running an upper-middle-class PC and I've never had any issues until I crank something like Cyberpunk 2077 all the way to the top or something.

Are people trying to play this on a potato or are they simply whining because a game doesn't get cracked in the first week?

A bit of column A, a bit of column B.

They did it just to annoy you, that was their only intention, just you alone.

Denuvo slows down the game-cracking crowd, which in-turn secures more day 1 sales.
It's never meant to stop people forever, but encourages people to buy the game legit. There will always be people who will wait and steal the game instead. It's how garbage people act; like garbage.

People will crack the game anyways, just put the game on sale or something if you want to reach more customers.

The answer is obvious : being sure that the first few weeks/months the game won't be pirated and they can get their investment back. Yes sure at the end of the day the game will be cracked but it doesn't matter if they can secure the most important part of the game lifespan : the launch.

Without these kind of DRM, as badly implemented they can be sometimes, you wouldn't have the pc game market you have now. Maybe you weren't there in the 90's. It was not a good time for pc players.

It just corp deals, don't try to find too much engineering reasoning, just politics and money between a few couples.

Steam drm already makes you wait 1 day, any legit fix or update already makes you wait one more day, lack of seeds already makes you wait 1 day.
But yeah !00% I will wait xD, btw by Steam Discussions policies it is not allowed to discuss ethics on piracy, so you can save your "garbage" evaluations on "thieves" written from a hardware which mercury was mined by child labour in africa and assembled by possible a little more of that in china.

Men in suits who think gaming is "Call of Legends on the N64-Phone" make the decisions. Is why.

+1

It's also quite pathetic how they try to defend stealing.

Its main use is to spot people that forgot their tin foil hat and/or lack attention so you can safely ignore them.

This. No other reason. Good enough for me though.

You can’t steal a copy of software from a billion dollar publisher. You can just copy it without permission. Nobody has lost anything in the process, and if somebody is copying that software, they were never going to pay for it to begin with, so it wasn’t even a lost sale.
