Okay, so, Legion of Chaos.
I am playing as the Legion of Chaos (H/H), and I'm stuck. I can't go anywhere because the Empire is rolling full stacks of ships sitting just outside of my reach of my 1 stack (supported by a whole providence, of course, instead of their 1 cities, yay AI cheats).
When I move to engage one, it moves away and another different faction moves closer (Wood Elves, Nordland, all of Kislev, etc).
Any suggestions until mods come out to fix the horrible "Full-Speed" mechanic?

Yep, it's all over Reddit. Daemons of Chaos is DEF NOT a first campaign type game. People getting rolled by the entire Ordertide by turn 15.

Let them actually come land and take chaos attrition in your land whilst they siege your garrisons, then chase them off. They will be wounded enough they have to go home. Thanks to corruption attrition if you have control or wall buildings that should be enough to make their day hell. Also yeah "first campaign" should be one with a super unique mechanic that gates all your units and having to manage 4 types of settlements? I'm not saying LoC is the hardest, but its definitely not wise for first time players.

Here's the thing: All daemon factions except Slaanesh starts at war with the Ordertide factions. Slaanesh doesn't because its their campaign mechanic. Guess who is near the Daemons of Chaos? That's right its Slaanesh. The other three monogod factions are far in the north with Norska and WoC buffers to block them form order factions. Undivided however, starts smack deep in the middle near the old world factions with no one to buffer them. Thematically though, it makes sense if you played the Prologue; everyone hates him.

It's true. But you can do a few things. Build public order buildings, they will give you a nice amount of extra garrisson. In most cases it's enough to defend your cities. But yeah i also had no chance to get a demon prince soul around turn 35 because i was rolled over but now it looks decent because my cities can defend themselves. VH/H

Yeah weirdly enough it has the "recommended for first time players" tag on it. What a mistake. I'd say it should be the hard campaign that is unlocked after you complete any of the 4 chaos god ones.

This is the one that bothered me, seeing Wood Elves drop a whole stack of Glade Guard on my Nurglings. I'm just like "!?!?"

Yea, in my humble opinion, its definitely not a campaign "recommended for first time players". The moment you take the coastal settlement that the game pretty much guides you to take you will have unending waves of Kislev, Empire and Wood Elves attacking your coast.

That said, i haven't tried it on a lower difficulty, it may be a nonissue on said difficulties since the AI tend to be less player focused on the lower difficulties.

Well, I'm kinda doing okay with the Legion at the momen. Kislev and empire are easy to deal with and the woodelves just passed by and left without doing anything.

These dang gobbos just tunnelhopping over the mountains to siege me and tunnelhopping back as soon as my troops arrive are a real problem at the moment.

This is a problem that I have in general with the game at the moment, the forced march stance and the full sail stance is so unbelievably annoying. WHY make there a forced march etc stance when you should have made speed based on the settlement nearby for roads etc?
Or some other mechanic entirely?
I've been playing wack-a-mole for the past twenty turns with this enemy army that's just forced marching everywhere.
Can't field a second army because AI money cheats

yep, same problem. I'm just chasing enemies around that refuse to fight or leave.
My solution is to just nurgle-plague them down further and further till they vanish alone or are not a thread for settlments at all.
My gobbo problem also solved itself...or more to speak the khorne faction north from the legion solved it by removing their settlment while their armies roamed my Lands without doing anything.

Indeed I tried to post the link to this:

In a few places yesterday.

Because I knew a lot of people would do exactly as you just did. Its the second hardest Lord start according to the video. I don't know if i agree as I haven't tried them but apparently its up there, just because of positioning.

I would also rate the ice queen start as easier than khorne although khorne has incredible abilities, his economy is meh because his units are costly. She is just more stable with all the order factions to her south and some to her east/west. You can get multiple armies out easily with her.

*You can also get a horde of trade treaties with half the map easily with her.

Managed to reach a point where I at least manage to hold on to what I got, but deep down I know Kislev can clap my cheeks if they ever get their ♥♥♥♥ together.

Well the first 20-30 turn was a big survival suck. But now i'm just killing the remaining order suckers left and right with my lads. Advice: Just try to stay alive and coordinate your ally factions.

Yeah, that problem will be solved when mods come out and someone created a "remove forced march" from the stances mod, waiting for it to happen honestly.
