Denuvo blocked me from playing the game??
My game was working fine, then suddenly it no longer starts, gives me an error that takes me to a website that says that "your purchase can no longer be re-validated. please try again in 24 hours".

Googling it shows that people have had the same issue with other Denuvo games in the past, and there appears to be no solution other than waiting 24 hours.

Actually insanely stupid, cannot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ believe that I can't play the game I just bought for 24 hours after changing literally nothing whatsoever.

did you actually purchase the game on steam or did you purchase it from a third party?

Purchased on Steam, yep. Apparently the error comes from the Denuvo activation limit, in that you can only "activate" 5 times per day, and I guess it considers restarting the game after updating drivers a new activation?? I honestly don't know.

it always sucks when DRM locks out legitimate customers and it should never happen, no matter what, but I have to ask, why did you reinstall your drivers 5 times in one day?

Restarting the game or relaunching it wouldnt cause this issue, it's for some reason detecting someone trying to use the same product key 5 times to install it and run it.

Probably account sharing.

I mean look at his profile. That kind proves he is doing something wrong.

Could be trying to run it through a VM? That generally causes issues for both steam and Denuvo.

Denuvo errors, locking the game for 24 hours, have been actually quite common over the years and so far, pretty much random.

Only common factor I see is an augmentation in the numbers of reports of codefusion errors during big releases - but that's probably only due to the increase in sample size. (codefusion is the name of the Denuvo activation servers)

genuinely curious what you mean by that lmfao, not doing anything wrong to my knowledge
you are not the only one, I have already met people with such a problem on the forum. We are waiting for a response from the developers.

Nope, not on a VM

While I def didn't install them 5 times, I did update my GPU driver, as well as a BIOS update from MSI, but I did play it on both my laptop and on my PC at home. Still doesn't add up to 5, so not sure what's going on.

Yep, lines up with what I've found so far. Seen reports of the same issue across many Denuvo games. Death Stranding, Monster Hunter World, Metro Exodus and more.

I legitimately don't know either. You both seem to have similar profiles, down to the presentation... :happyotus:

Well that's how DENUVO work just an anti-consumer DRM

Denuvo is AIDS. Also completely useless. But the dumber people in charge at Sega/CA keep forcing it because they're too dimwitted to know better
