100% GPU Usage?
Played for a bout 30 mins no problem. Left room and came back to my rtx 3060 sounding like it was going to take off with fans going full blast.

I was just sitting idle at the campaign screen.

Resource monitor showed 100% GPU Usage and temps nearing 73 c.

Diddnt seem right to me....

That's because you don't know what you are talking about.
You should be worried if it was not 100% GPU usage, not the other way around

73 is fine and as mig says.

nvidea card?

TWW2 has the same problem, completely uncapped frame rate on the options menus and campaign map. There are many many posts about it for that game, with lots of people giving the same unhelpful reply as the first one in this post.

Try opening up the nvidea control panel and selecting TWW3 then capping the frame rate (60 for example) using that. My graphics card calmed down after that, even though the in-game settings said it was capped.

I'm just sitting here wondering why you bought a 3060 when no games out or coming out remotely even require a card like that. I'm running this game on max settings with a 1080. Here you are trippin your 3060's fans are on.

Many many many lol.

Go link 10. Should be easy, there is many.

This is super easy to fix and a normal problem with some older games. Just cap the framerate in Nvidia control panel. 100% usage is because of crazy frame rates in menu.

100% use of GPU while gaming = good thing.

You taught him nothing other than other people will just do the work for him. [/quote]

You are right, i know. but i wanted to prove the point. Too many people think that every different graphics card maxing out makes sense and is okay. it doesn't. an old gpu might max out. but the same game, same settings on a new gpu shouldn't.

OK I am not very tech savvy but when I run New World on Ultra or even Total War 2 on max it does not hit 100% GPU or get loud but it stays at 75 FPS???

73C is more than fine with gpu at 100%.

that because most games tell your pc to only go as fast as is necessary to reach your desired frames per second (visual smoothness).

This game, on the campaign map, doesn't tell your pc to stop, it says "go as fast as you can, forever", which makes your graphics card work as hard as possible to do that.

You'll need to look up a tutorial / guide on how to cap your frame rate using nvidea control panel, which i assume you have. it's easy and should only take a few mins.

Oh ya, you don't wanna do that, but was same for me in WH 2. Sound like leaf blower.

IDK why. but ya, don't do that for sure lol. Specially with omg prices for GPU, I cannot afford to replace mine!

My framerate and loading times are great but my pc is hot as HOT DOG.
