Is it possible to be F2P and have swag?
Seriously, is it possible to actually farm money, do missions, and actually look like someone who has bought all their stuff, for example someone swagged out in clothes that have badass weapons that take two shots to kill someone along with a OP sniper rifle... Like is it possible!?!? I've been playing the game for about 108 hours according to steam and all I've been doing is missions and farming money via the finacial district by smashing stores and delivering to Double-D and etc. I know you can get new weapons but you only get them for 3 or 5 days and they expire, I wanna test if this game is actually a pay to win and I need help or tips on how to actually accomplish this. All I can access for my character is jeans and some shirts... Everything else is locked...

fastest way to unlock stuff is to do missions and unlock more contacts from maxing out a contact to level 10..

All the best weapons are gain from contacts so you dont have to pay real money for it..
and t5he lease on weapons is 10 days and it only takes a few hours of playing to afford a weapon..

ALL PRIMARY GUNS are unlockable from first tier contacts:
- Ntec is best gun to use generally...
- HVR is a 90% damage sniper rifle that really meant for teamwork but you can easily pull 2 shot kills using cover...
- OCA/Colby PMG are best gun using to run and spray closequarter
- Joker carbine is also a good gun to run and spray but also can marksmanship for mid range (semiauto)..
- Obeya rifle is similar to ntec but semi auto.. usually better for ranged combat..

Avoid these weapon as a new player:
- ALIG is anti vehicle weapon so its really not as useful unless you get Car Surfer
- JG/CSG SHOTGUNS are too random plus with the current lag from client/server.. not worth it
- OBIR takes too long to kill but has good range over ntec, more of a team weapon i guess..
- SHAW is powerful close range as a standing still spraying weapon.. but that the problem, you need to stay still to use it or be in their face as you move...

I only have 30 hours clocked in the game right now, but I have learned a bit about the game already :)

Anyways, I forgot which tutorial, but one of them gives you a permanent gun, and the tutorials aren't that hard, so it is very easy to get. For the cars, I did notice there is a 7 decal limit, so I haven't messed around with that much.. But with a lot of in game money you can probably buy pre-designed cars off of the auction house(or whatever it is called here).

For clothes, I heard that if you AFK in an area of the social district(forgot which one), you will unlock clothes. Or you can just run around doing missions and you will eventually unlock clothes.. Also, just like cars you can probably buy clothes off the auction house.

You really just need patience I think :)

Almost everything on ARMAS can be unlocked through in game playing, so don't pay for weapons unless you are certain you are going to hang around for a while. Vehicles become quickly unlocked, so you can get a decent car early in the game (by rank 50 I think). Clothes become unlocked even earlier than vehicles, so just do missions and they'll become unlocked.

If you want to unlock stuff you have to do missions, not just ramraid. Ramraiding does grant a tiny amount of experience if you're pledged while you do it but missions offer way, way more.

The only perm weapons you can get as a free player are the tutorial one, as stated, and the legendary ones being sold on the marketplace. They are quite expensive, though. The crappy ones that nobody wants sell for 1-2m. If you want one of the good ones that people actually like then you can expect to pay anywhere from 3-5m.

Plenty of paid players use the in-game weapons because they're some of the best weapons in the game. The leases are for 10 days, though, not 3 or 5. They're quite affordable even if you're leasing them. If you want to trial the Armas weapons you can do that, too. Just go to Armas and click the "Try For Free" button and the weapon will be sent to your mailbox.

The only weapon swag you're missing out on is Armas weapon skins. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you can get are the default one, Alternate (you get it after progressing a bit, I can't remember exactly when this unlocks), the faction skins (GKings/Bloodrose for crims or Praetorian/Prentiss Tigers for enfos when you complete the respective bosses) and the Chrome skin for completing weapon roles (press 'j', go to 'Roles' and scroll down to view your progress). ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are often rewards during holiday events, too, so keep an eye out for those.

As for clothes, you can't really get any Armas clothing for free aside from a couple pieces that have promo codes. Go to Armas, click "Redeem Code" and enter PH4TB3ATZ for headphones and INCOGN1TO for a Domino Mask. The main thing that sets free and paid players apart when it comes to clothing, though, is the customization. As a free player you're very limited in how complex you can design items - only 25 layers per symbol and 3 symbols per garment or 7 symbols per vehicle while premium players get 100 layers per symbol and 50 layers per garment or vehicle. Also, free unique clothing is sometimes rewarded for holiday events just like weapon skins so keep an eye out.

This game is hardly P2W. All the best weapons can be unlocked ingame. Just takes time to unlock but they can be obtained without spending a penny of you're hard earned real money. I must say though it's hard to look "AMAZING" or original with only being able to place a few decals per articles of clothing or vehicles, but cosmetic is not included in the definiton of P2W.
