Completed - HD Background Mod - Crossification

I was never pleased with the poorly AI upscaler they use (or the model for the AI itself) so I upscaled them using a better interpolated model.
This Background Mod should be 100% complete without any seam issues.

My friend, you are an absolute HERO.

Let me update whoever's reading this... I've been personally following up the background upscaling projects WEEKLY since CC:RDE was released, and it's quite the tragic tale.

To sum it up... Plaidray started with his own mod project using AI to upscale the backgrounds, but later on ceased developing it because SilverLimit started a hand-drawn upscaling project. Then.. Get this, then SilverLimit stopped developing it because of his own adult life stuff, SO WE ENDED UP WITH NO (finished) BACKGROUND UPSCALING MOD WHATSOEVER.

Bottom line, what you're doing is legendary and absolutely appreciated by the community.

Yeah I followed them as well and it’s tragic that some had so many problems with seam issues…

I’ll release my scripts soon so everyone can do their own taste/style backgrounds mod and AI upscale becomes better with every paper so it’s a matter of time when we’ll have even better results and with the scripts it’s really easy as they do all the heavy lifting. :)

Hmm mine doesn't have a mapbin to place the these files, am I doing something wrong?

You need to open HD.dat which is just a normal zip/rar compressed file with something like 7zip. In there you have the subtilere map and mapbin.

Thank you! I was finally able to find it and wow what a huge difference, it looks beautiful, is this a complete project or is it still ongoing? Either way it looks great, might have to start another play through since I haven't played it over a year.

Should be complete besides maybe one or two broken rooms but I’ve done everything that I saw. :)
