Anyone Freezing

The game started freezing on me out of nowhere. Going to be vague for spoiler reasons. It is after the events of the dead sea. It freezes during and after battles. Zone transitions and just out and walking around. I had zero issues before that. This literally came out of nowhere.

mine keeps freezing during my second battle with Lynx, every time I get him low health it freezes but continues music. it's so frustrating

I'm having a similar experience on Steam Deck and PC, throughout the game, but the issue seems worse on Steam Deck. Sometimes it'll freeze a couple of times in a row, 5 minutes apart, and then stop freezing for a while. Then, it'll come back.

Had not issues even from the beginning before first patches. Maybe you could mention all your Operating System and graphic cards on here? Having that information and finding a common pc setup may help you diagnose the issue more.

I'm having this issue specifically on the Steam Deck. Can't play for half an hour without it freezing.

On Windows 11, though, it works fine. Played for half a dozen hours yesterday and it didn't freeze once.

I have been in contact with SE for a while now. They are essentially blaming everything that isnt the game. I have been testing things for them. If I find a fix I will post it.

To be fair, this doesn't happen to most other people, so figuring out what's causing it on your PC is probably the best bet. It's likely not the game.

Did your AV patch itself or update? Sometimes antivirus programs get quite annoying even with existing programs for no reason at all.

It is bad enough to have a game that would otherwise be an amazing game to have a 50% on steam. I am not going to go through all the stuff I talk to them about and all the steps. I am rather over it. I will give others the last message I got from them. If the DX part makes it work then great. If I also have to run it in original mode then that is not what I paid for. All this has done is make me decide to wait a long time before buying a SE game to make sure it isnt a garbage done port.

I'm freezing from time to time as well

Also freezing here. Last one was in the middle of an NPC dialog. Every input works, Esc, the various 'cheat' options can be switched on/off, but I can't close the dialog window with keyboard or controller, the game won't respond do that.

Edit: After returning from being tabbed out to write this, the game was totally frozen. Nothing would respond at all anymore.

Freezing on the Steam Deck but not on Windows 11, its really bizarre cause it happens specifically in a couple of locations

It seems mine only freezes when I idle in combat screen and if I alt-tab out of game. Otherwise it's pretty playable.

On steam deck , it freezes often when i first started it , but i set proton experimental and set resolution on 800x600 borderless , aand now works flawless with no crash or freeze
